In Person Music Lessons
Of course it is fun and quite useful to get information via YouTube. You can certainly try to follow good tips and great instructions. But we know that at some point you will really get stuck, start studying mistakes and not make any progress. Simply because you do not get live feedback on what you are doing. You set the bar as high as you want, right?
What makes your lesson special?
The interaction between you and your teacher, and the experience of sound, atmosphere and acoustics in a live music lesson, make your lesson special. When singing or playing an instrument, in addition to learning and developing the right instrumental or vocal technique, it is certainly also about personal contact, mutual involvement, sound and expression. Listening, looking carefully, demonstrating and imitating (mirror neurons), it works great in the live lessons.
Do'nt Waste Your Time!
We can be clear: It really doesn't sound like what you want, when you're just starting a new piece or song! Sorry! Practising many hours, and often on something you want to master would be the way to go... But be careful! Repeating a difficult passage over and over, particularly when you don't know what you're doing, will establish your 'mistakes' thoroughly! A waste of time! It takes a lot of effort for you, and your teacher, to replace this with how it should be done!
How then?
Learning how and what you study is the best way if you want to be able to make music 'pleasantly and relaxed'. You play or sing for fun, right? It is all the more important that you start with patience, creativity and insight to learn the right thing straight away. A good and experienced teacher will help you with this.
