Whether it is Baroque Music, where the bass part of the basso continuo mostly is executed on instruments like cello, violone, double bass, gamba or bassoon, or Pop music, Funk, Blues, Rock, Metal, Reggae. Latin or Jazz; a bass player gives structure to the band. Melody, improvisation and harmony benefit from the darkness and driving force of a well performed bass line!
Harmony, timing, stability and power are in your hands! You lay down the groove and you have the most powerful notes! Being a bass player is, apart from instrumental and musical skills, a matter of mentality. Hard labour, 'service' to the soloist at all times, reliability and stability are keywords when you play. Any music style you want to play is cool!
Whatever level you currently play to, there's a thrill in surpassing yourself, in becoming a better bass player. Your packed schedule makes it hard to learn more awsome grooves, to learn slapping, improvise intelligent solos and play funky bass lines? Just go ahead and book a package of bass lessons and you'll see that the enthusiasm of our teachers will ensure you find the time and energy to reach your goals.
