Hello! and Welcome to my page! I am Petronella Palm, experienced voice teacher and vocal coach in Berkel en Rodenrijs area and Rotterdam area. The music you like to sing is our starting point. Every voice has its own quality, character, unique structure and personality. Voice coaching is a very personal story. The exercises you get in the lessons to further develop your voice are therefore tailor-made for you!

Experience to share - Voice training In New York

I have been active as a classically trained singer in both Opera and Broadway Musicals. I can therefore perfectly help you to expand your classical singing technique and repertoire, or to broaden your vocal skills it with specific techniques for non-classical music. One of the techniques I incorporate in my lessons is the EVT method - Estill Voice Training System, to use your voice in a healthy way, especially in cross-over singing styles.

What can you expect?

You’ll work on the range and sound quality of your voice, dynamics, diction, pronunciation of different languages, breathing technique and posture and relaxation while singing. Also, attention will be paid to rhythm and sight singing. Last but certainly not least: singing on pitch is hugely important, so that’s also what we’ll be spending time on. Though, every singing lesson will be given in a good, positive atmosphere, so you’ll feel energized when you leave my studio!

Singing studio in Berkel en Rodenrijs - Lansingerland

My cozy singing studio is centrally located between The Hague and Rotterdam, and easily accessible from Bergschenhoek, Bleiswijk, Hillegersberg, Schiebroek, Nootdorp, Delft, Rotterdam and The Hague. Come by car, Metro line E from The Hague or Rotterdam, or by bus from Delft.

About Me

After completing my singing studies with the diploma Music Teacher Singing, I continued my studies at the Juilliard School of Music and the Mannes College of Music in New York, where I obtained the degree Masters of Performing Arts. I also followed a separate acting study at the HB studios in New York. Performances as a classical soprano in concerts and opera on the American, Asian and European continent followed. In addition, roles in musicals and Off-Broadway productions in New York. This is how cross-over technique became my hobby and expertise. As a singing teacher I have been affiliated with the University of Florida, Manhattanville College in New York and International Schools in Tokyo. Back in the Netherlands, in addition to my work as a singing teacher, I have been active as a board member of the Dutch Association of Voice Teachers and the European Voice Teacher's Association.
