Bass Guitar Lessons The Hague

Hi! I'm Nuno Torres Marques, a professional bass player and bass guitar teacher in The Hague. Master new fantastic bass lines and groove your way to the top with my one on one bass lessons. I give the lessons at my home studio in The Hague centre. The lessons can be held in Portuguese, English, Spanish and Catalan.

Music Styles

We use a modern inter-active method suitable to all music styles. We'll focus on your favourite songs and music. This can be Pop, Jazz, Latin, Funk, R&B, Raggae, Disco, Blues and World Music

Beginner Bass Lessons

You'll learn how to hold the bass and to put your fingers on the strings. You'll learn the notes on the fretboard, basic finger style, chord progressions and to read music. The lessons also offer practical basic music theory and you'll be playing bass-lines from pieces that suit your individual goals. In no time you'll be able to play your first funky grooves! Notice your progress and find out how cool it sounds after a couple of lessons!

Advanced

More awesome grooves, slapping, alternate finger style, dead notes, tricks and tips from a pro. Develop your improvisation skills and learn more about chord charts, pentatonic scales, patterns, and musical structures.

Trial Lesson Bass Guitar

In the trial lesson we discuss your goals and wishes. I can also advise you if you don't have an instrument yet. I'm looking forward to hear you playing some stuff and you will get an impression of my teaching style. I'm curious who your favourite bass players are!

Write your own Music

I'm a composer myself and I'll help you write your own music. Music Theory lessons give your a deeper understanding of harmony, structures and melody.

About Me

Hi, I graduated as Master of Music at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and I have several projects as a composer / arranger and bassist. In addition to an active life as a musician, I also teach the following subjects to to all levels and ages: Bass guitar and double bass, music theory / composition & harmony at the piano: In English, Spanish, Catalan or Portuguese. I'm an all-round bass player and perform in international Jazz festivals with various groups.
