Hello! I'm percussion and drum teacher Konstantyn Napolov in The Hague. Wish to become a real drummer or want to learn how to play different percussion instruments from all over the world? Never too old to start! My percussion and drum lessons are for starters and advanced.

Percussion for Children

In percussion lessons for children we discover musical elements in a playful way. Body Tapping and playing on various instruments from all over the world offer the kids lots of fun! The kids discover the world of rhythm, melody and develop motoric skills.

Drum Lessons Adults

The lessons may cover co-ordination, stick techniques, rolls fills and solos, sense of muscular movement and timing, rock, jazz, pop grooves, drum notation, body awareness, hand drumming and various exotic instruments

Drum Lessons Pop, Classical,World Music

Besides pop and rock drumming you are welcome to learn modern/classical music like timpani to play in a symphony orchestra. Learn new drum-grooves or enjoy contemporary percussion repertoire. For instance Xenakis, Kagel Reich, Glass, Andriessen or Lang

About Konstantyn

Konstantyn Napolov's love to complex rhythm patterns and beat were manifested in an early age. After one of the performances of the little drummer, where his grandfather's head was the instrument, his parents decided to send him to the music school entrusting his talent to the hands of professional teachers.

Competitions

Konstantyn received his Master of Music in Percussion Performance and Orchestral Conducting Diploma at the Kiev National Academy of Music, has won more than ten prestigious national and international competitions, worked as a deputy concertmaster of percussions in several national orchestras of Ukraine, and also starred in the musical TV shows.
Before completing his Bachelor and Master Degree at the Royal Conservatory Konstantyn participated in different projects with Residentie Orkest Den Haag, Asko Schonberg ensemble and Slagwerk Den Haag.

Davai Perkusion

Since 2011 he is  the leader of the theatrical percussion ensemble "Davai Perkusion". The ensemble has performed in The Netherlands, France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg. He participated in several master classes by well-known percussionists like Peter Sadlo, Mark Pekarski, Christian Dierstein, Paul Mootz, Marta Klimasara, Robyn Schulkowsky, Isao Nakamura and many others. Konstantyn is a great promoter of contemporary percussion Since 2014 Konstantyn Napolov is Haupt-Pauker (principal-percussionist) at Mannheimer Philharmoniker (Germany)
