All Ages welcome
I’m Vincent van Wijk and I like to keep things positive in music lessons. Music is, after all, for fun and enjoyment! I'm passionate about the oboe and my goal is to inspire you trough personal approach and enjoyment in music making! My oboe lessons are open to students of all ages!
Lesson Location
The lessons take place at my home in The Hague but may also be given in the comfort of your own home.
Online Oboe Lessons

Private Lessons
Every oboe lesson is customised to your individual desires and needs. Throughout private lessons, we will work on basic fundamentals, repertoire, and musicianship. I like to blend teaching technique and musicianship, while keeping things fun. Curious? Book a trial lesson!
Beginners
If you're a beginner, we'll get started with all the fundamentals you need to begin making music. You'll learn a solid basis and you’ll play fun and challenging repertoire. You'll learn to read music, rhythms, about posture, breath control, play with a good tone, etudes, intonation and expression. There will be lots of playing duets together!
Advanced Students
I have extensive experience as a performer and I'll help you perfect things you've been working on, expand your musical experience, and help you reach your fullest potential as a musician.
I’ll gladly help you with practising difficult orchestra and/or chamber music parts.
Oboe d'Amore and English Horn
With many years of teaching experience, I am confident that you will be playing in no time and... after having tried it... that you will fall in love with the Oboe d'Amore or the English Horn! Want to try? Book a try-out lesson!

Making Your Own Reeds?
Your sound, playing style and ease of playing are all strongly dependent on the reed you play on. I specialise in reed-making and love helping you with your reeds. I also sell personalised reeds.
