The start

The beauty of modern-day music production is that the studio can be anywhere. Wherever you are in the world. To start, you just need a few things: a laptop, production software, headphones and a dose of creativity. As the world of music production gear is vast and if you feel you need advice on this topic, no stress! I can help you to get started!

Introduction

First, we will have an introduction lesson in which we will set out your aims of what you would like to learn and achieve. The material you have produced so far will be used to discuss your inspirations and aspirations. From here, we crack on and get practical.

Multidisciplinary Job

A music producer has a multidisciplinary job and covers areas such as: sound design, mixing, mastering and music distribution. Regardless of music genre, I can help you navigate these areas and teach you in-depth about it.

Music theory and composition

Music theory is an essential part of composition. Without it, a musical piece is directionless. Developing a (greater) understanding of subjects like harmony, chord progressions, melody and rhythms is key. Together, we will dive into these beautiful topics.

Riding the wave of what is hot and trending right now can be a good business model. On the other hand, it's good to stand out!
I'll show you the tools to develop your talents and to create unique sounds for your music. Discover and explore the endless possibilities of sound design, granulizers or samplers.

Artist & Exposure

Getting heard and seen as well as networking is an important part of your music career. In case you might be interested in developing these areas, this can be part our lessons!

Finish

The lessons will set you up for a lifetime of foundational knowledge and you will be able to start creating your own arrangements, using a wide range of effects. You know when the song is ready to mix and master!

Mixing

When the arrangement and recording of a song is finished, we start the mixing process. This can prove to be a difficult part of music production. Properly setting up and organising a mix, as well as using digital audio equipment such as compressors, limiters and clippers to enhance the song, will be explained in detail to you.

Mastering

When the mixing stage is finished and your song is almost ready to release on all music platforms, it is time for the 'finishing touch'.The song is ready to be mastered. From reading waveforms to working with saturation, LUFS and dynamic equalizers, we will dive deep into the mastering process. Let's get the song on the air!

The Class

There are two varying lessons lengths, either 60 or 90 minutes. If the subject you are looking for is not mentioned, please do not hesitate to reach out and send a message or call.

Enschede - Gronau Westphalia

Time to get in the studio! My studio is located in Gronau, Westphalia, just 10 minutes by train from Enschede. Do you rather have sessions online? The lessons are also available to be taught online.

Film Music

Interested in composing music for media? Don't look any further. I am a film composer at heart and made my debut at the Dutch Film Festival with the submission 'Fin' in 2023. Currently, I am working on many other films and I can teach you all about it.

About Me

From a young age, I had a keen interest for music and started out playing drums between 2011 and 2018. After seven years of drumming and performing live in my hometown, I started new endeavours.A new love was found in music production and started making loops on my laptop. Three years of study has brought me a lot of theoretical knowledge, industry connections and work. Currently I continue my studies at the conservatory of Enschede. Besides composing and producing music, I work as a mastering engineer for a range of bands and artists that are looking to release their singles and EP's.
