Hi, Welcome to my teacher's profile! I'm Aleksandra Liubomirova, experienced and motivating violin teacher in Hilversum. I teach students of all ages and levels at my comfortable studio in Hilversum.

Violin Lessons - Children - Adults

Are you in love with the sound of the violin too? Starting with violin lessons from scratch? Or more experienced violin player and facing some problems you wish to solve? Looking for a patient and friendly violin teacher for your child?

Beginner Violin Lessons

Starting with a basic repertoire of simple classical and popular tunes gives you a foundation on which to build up to more complex music. I have all kinds of methods and pieces in my collection. From the very first lesson you'll be encouraged to play easy duets and to make music, to develop your own musical ideas.

Technique and musicality

I pay a lot of attention to learning a good basic technique and relaxed posture. You will learn to read sheet music, develop a good bow arm, playing in tune,  basic music theory and ear training. Musicality and technique go hand in hand.

Violin Lessons - Intermediate - Advanced

If you have been playing for a while and have some difficulties with technique or motivation, I'm here to help you find solutions. My teaching method focuses both on the technical and musical aspects of working with the instrument. You will learn pieces of gradual difficulty along with some necessary music theory, always applied to the instrument.

What can you expect?

We will work on a good posture, vibrato, playing in positions, playing in tune, bowing technique (marcato, martelé, staccato, legato, etc) concerto's, chamber music and orchestra parts, interpretation, wonderful solo pieces, etudes, scales, tone production and... fun in music!

Online Violin Lessons

In these strange times I offer online classes as well. Also if you are unable to come for once, you can still take your lesson on Zoom or Skype. You don’t need to worry about finding an instrument for the trial lesson, I have it ready for you.

About Me

My music education started at the age of 6 in my birth place Lithuania. Very soon I understood that I wanted to become a professional violinist. 10 years later I moved to the Netherlands where I continued my studies at the conservatories of Utrecht and Rotterdam. For my Masters I studied Goteborg, Sweden. Next to teaching, I am mainly active as a chamber musician.
