Hello! I'm Carolien van Tol. I'm an all-round singer, vocal coach and patient singing teacher in Leeuwarden Zuiderburen. My lessons are open to children, teenagers and adults. My studio is easily accessible for singers in Leeuwarden, Sneek, Grou, Franeker, Wirdum or Drachten

Whether your experience is only singing in your shower or over a 100 concerts per year, with clear instructions you'll be able to bring your singing to the next level. 

Taking Care of Your Voice

My first and foremost goal is healthy singing. You'll learn how to make optimum sound and not damage your voice. Enjoy special vocal exercises that will condition your voice so it functions in the best way. We may make use of Lichtenberger, Alexander Technique, EVTS, CVT and Belcanto.

Classical to Pop

What genre makes you happy? Let's find out where your musicality thrives! The repertoire we can work on can be classica music, musical, pop, solo and choir, singer songwriter.

Singing Lessons Children

Kids are welcome to my singing lessons from the age of 8. We will work on a good posture, breathing, rhythm and melody. Together we'll select songs that are both challenging and fun to sing!

Lax Vox - Bubbling

One of the methods I use daily in my lessons is Lax Vox. How does it work? What are the do's and dont's? And how do I use it to train the voice? These questions and more are answered during a special bubble lesson. You can purchase your own tube made of glass or silicone during the lesson.

Safe Learning Environment

When your feeling safe and oké to make mistakes, you can digest all the information I provide during the lessons. The music, you create, can freely flow through your body.

Singing in a small group

When a child sings with other children it will automaticaly sing more freely.. A perfect basis for future individual lessons. Of course I can help you to select the right kind of lesson for your child. Send me an email or telephone request and we will figure it out!

Singing in a Choir

How to achieve this pure angelic tone? Or how to make a full sound in gospel? In this style of singing you need particularly good control over the way you sing through your vocal registers. You’ll learn to sing smoothly from your lower ranges to your highest note.

Professional Speaker - Voice Training

Does your job require you to speak all day, and in public? I offer a voice training program used to care for the voice of different professional speakers and occupational voice users. My story

After doing a preparatoy course classical singing in The Hague (Royal Conservatory) I graduated Musical Theatre at the Conservatory in Alkmaar. Following I had lessons with Lenie van den Heuvel and many masterclasses such as: Maarten Koningsberger, Francis van Broekhuizen, Nelly Miricioiu. Since studying I gave singing lessons as well as coaching projects. Experience with kids (6 to 17 years old) I had in Gouda, Youth theatre school and adults in Leiden University (LAK Cursussen) 17+. (singing technique, musical singing, workshops healthy singing)

How do I keep it fresh?

Training is the key. I go to workshops and masterclasses ánd I am member of a intervision group. Lichtenberger, Alexander Technique, EVTS level 1 and 2, CVT, Baroque singing, the Classical Song, Connected Singing. I perform in many occasions as a soloist and make my own musical theatre shows (classical music for kids 2-8 years old).
