Experienced teacher

Hi I'm Alessandro Russo, enthusiastic, experienced saxophone teacher in Rotterdam. What I like about the saxophone so much is that everyone can create their own sound: from funk like Maceo Parker to a warm tenor sound like Benny Golson or Dexter Gordon.

Classical, Jazz to Pop and DJ!

Wish to play your favourite pop hit or jazz standard or prefer playing together in classical duets?  That's all possible! We also can form an ensemble with other students

Beginners to Advanced

With a lot of fun we will go through the process of learning the most comfortable posture and a proper breathing technique. Create this typical saxophone sound you like best! You’ll learn to play your favourite music right from the start.

Lessons at Your Home

The lessons take place at my studio in Rotterdam. Occasionaly I can come to you in Rotterdam and Delft area.

About Alessandro Russo

Italian saxophone player Alessandro graduated with honors at Conservatoire “G. Martucci” in 2008, obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Classical Saxophone. He then moved to Belgium, where In 2013, he got a Bachelor Degree in Jazz Music at LUCA (Lemmens Instituut) in Leuven, studying with Frank Vaganèe (Leader of the Brussels Jazz Orchestra). He then continued his studies at CODARTS in Rotterdam, obtaining his Master’s Degree in Jazz in 2016 and studying with the teachers Simon Rigter, Dick De Graaf, Ben van den Dungen and Milan Bonger.
Alessandro is currently part of different Netherland based popular bands like Re:freshed Orchestra, Voodrish, Los Paja Brava, Mala and Junhyung An Quintet,F1rstman performing at venues like North Sea Jazz Festival, Lowlands, Latin Village Festival etc… and performing many times on National Dutch TV.
