Passion for the Violin!

I am Burcu Ramazanoglu Stavropoulos. All round violinist and dedicated violin teacher in Rotterdam. Teaching fills me with joy and energy! My passion for teaching started years ago, while I was earning my Bachelor's Degree at Bilkent University Music and Performing Arts School, where I graduated as the top student. As a concert player I gained a lot of experience in many musical fields and love to share my passion and expertise with you or your child!

Trial lesson 

Whether you are a beginner or have played before and want to pick up the thread again; we tailor the lesson completely to your wishes. In the trial lesson we have the opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your goals and of course you play something!

No violin yet?

Will it be the first time you hold a violin? I have an instrument on which you can try out what it is like, if you do not have a violin yet. I can also advise you on renting or buying.

Violin Lessons Children

Your child will learn, in a creative, explorative, active, and immersive way, to read notes and discover the violin with musical games, singing and fun exercises. I will be accompanying your child on the violin and the piano! From the first lesson we play fun songs together! Gradually more advanced pieces and repertoire will be on their music stand, but playing by heart is also fun!

Violin Lessons in Turkish and Azeri

The violin lessons for children can also be given in Turkish, Dutch, English and Azerbaijani.

Adult Beginners

We start with posture, bow hold, how to place the fingers on the strings, some ear training, basic music theory, classical and popular tunes and simple exercises to build a solid foundation. If needed we will introduce music reading. We will play duets to get used to playing with others and to make the learning process even more fun!

Learn how to practise effectively

Fun in music is paramount. When you enjoy your practice time and practise just the things you need, in a smart way, you will very soon play wonderful well-known classical and popular melodies.

Intermediate - Advanced

The lessons will include a mix of technical exercises, music theory, and repertoire that you enjoy. The focus will be on refining technique, vibrato, position playing, advanced bowing techniques and preparing for performances. We will work on challenging pieces that push your abilities and develop your musical expression.

Classical, Jazz, Pop, Hip-Hop, Turkish Music?

Playing your favourite music gives fun and best motivation! Give yourself a few months to learn how to play the music you love, regardless of the genre--classical, jazz, rock, traditional, Indian, Turkish music, flamenco, tango, Latin.

Performance Opportunities

You will have opportunities to perform in at least two concerts a year, allowing you to showcase your progress and gain valuable performance experience.

About Me

Music is the best way for me to express myself and continuously challenge myself. Without that challenge, every day feels the same, and that holds me back not just in music, but in my personal life too. Beyond teaching, I am an active violin teacher and performer. I work with the Ciconia Consort ensemble as a violinist and serve as their Diversity and Inclusion Manager. This role allows me to bring music to a wider audience and promote inclusivity within the arts.I also give workshops to refugees and communities who don't have the opportunity t be involved in the music world. Additionally, I work with organisations to create festivals and meaningful musical experiences for diverse communities.
