Welcome to my website! I'm Wouter Mijnders, all-round cellist and patient and motivating cello teacher in Scheveningen. Starting with cello lessons from scratch because you are in love with the warm and deep sound? Have you played the cello before and want to pick up lessons after a break because you miss it?

Cello for Teenagers and Adults

Take your cello playing to a higher level and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and personal approach in my lessons. I like to blend teaching technique and musicianship, while keeping things fun. Sign up for a trial cello lesson at my inspiring and artistic studio.

Beginners

With easy songs and personalised exercises, playing by ear and easy duets you'll discover the many sides of the cello. Step by step you'll develop the sense for tone quality, rhytm, intonation, bowing technique. You'll learn to read music and some basic music theory.

Advanced

Lessons may cover duo's, technical studies, playing in treble, bass and tenor key, thumb position, vibrato, articulation, phrasing, bowing, scales, legato, staccato, dynamics. Expand your musicality with challenging etudes, known and unknown concert pieces and the magnificent Bach solo suites.

Orchestra and ensemble

Need some help with orchestra or chamber music parts? I can help you with fingerings and bowings. You'll feel more confident in your next rehearsal!

Cellist Wouter 

I started to play the cello when I was 7 years old and the cello still challenges, amuses, irritates and makes me happy every day! I have over 30 years experience in giving cello lessons to individuals, duo lessons and ensembles, both to adults and teenagers. I regularly perform in chamber music concerts with various ensembles. I am founder and owner of Vivaldi Music Lessons. I toured all over the world performing with well known ensembles  COMBATTIMENTO, LEUPOLD TRIO, HAYDN TRIO, MEALLI TRIO and other chamber music groups. I also gave several master classes in Buenos Aires, U.S, Colombia, Tunesia, Japan, and Europe. Enjoy a nice CAPPUCCINO or ESPRESSO while taking a lesson!
