Why Music?

As Sinichi Suzuki said: “Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good people. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.”

Classical, Pop and Folk

The best way to learn music is through the music that you like to hear. So with my lessons you will learn to play the violin with the melodies you like to hear combined with other specially chosen to help you develop your full potential. Come and discover classical music and new tunes coming from Latin American countries.

Children

Music is best learnt by doing. Therefore I address my lessons in an interactive and energetic way! Young children learn important elements of music pratice and theory in a playful way. The lessons may cover elements from the famous Suzuki method. Next to playful learning materials and customised exercises, basic technique, easy songs, progressive studies we’ll be playing duets!

Violin Lessons Advanced

Want to improve your vibrato, a more relaxed posture and souple technique? Want to learn to play real legato, staccato or spiccato? We’ll work on technique and musicality, while expanding your repertoire and the interpretation of the music you like best.

Student Concerts

You will have the opportunity to perform at our regularly scheduled student concerts for a small audience (parents, friends an other students). Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and cosy environment. Professional accompanist available!

About Mirna

Mirna was born in Tampico, Mexico in a family of musicians. Her dad is a trumpet player and her mother an oboe player. Both of them playing for the symphonic orchestra of their city. In that environment, it was natural that she began to study violin from an age of 3. As she was growing up she continue developing her skills until when she was 20 years old she was invited to study in the conservatory of Groningen with professor Kati Sebastien. She completed her studies with a Master in the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in violin performance.
Through her professional career she has given concerts both as soloist with orchestra and violin with piano, in multiple countries of America and Europe.
