Mijn zoon Symen (11 jaar) heeft sinds een jaar les van Andrius. Het fijne aan Andrius is dat Symen zelf mag bepalen welke liedjes hij wil leren. Dit motiveert Symen. Andrius is in staat om algemene muzikale vaardigheden en theorie te koppelen aan deze liedjes waardoor Symen spelenderwijs veel leert. Andrius heeft veel geduld en is de kritiek altijd opbouwend. Daarnaast is Andrius een ware saxofoon-kunstenaar. Kortom, een prima docent.

When I was looking to play Saxophone as a beginner I found Vivaldi Music Lessons. When reading about Andrius (distinguishments) and the way he conducts his lessons this appealed to me directly. The first impression counts! When booking my first lesson he was very responsive and flexible when planning it. Andrius explains the basics of Saxophone assembly, warm up, playing and he really builds the foundation very very well. In just 8 lessons he learned me to play my first song which is absolutely impressive. Andrius is a real joy to work with, and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to become a great Saxophone player.

I was looking for a skilled saxophone teacher since I was out of playing the saxophone for about 10 yrs. I'm very happy with the saxophone lessons from Andrius. Een nog mooier geluid!

Leonie van Veen is wat mij betreft al jarenlang een zanglerares, die mij over vele aspecten van het zingen (muzikaliteit, uitspraak, stemgebruik, ademhaling, in goede conditie houden van stembanden, hoe te handelen bij verkoudheden, hoest etc., houding bij het zingen) heel goede en adequate aanwijzingen/ adviezen geeft. Leonie komt regelmatig met nieuwe trucjes om het geluid nog mooier te maken. Ze is daarbij geduldig en grappig en ik ga altijd blij en gevoed weer naar huis!

Strippenkaart Ideaal

Jeroen heeft verstand van muziek maar kan ook goed met mensen. Ik ben 2 jaar geleden ‘pas’ begonnen met saxofoon en hij neemt je rustig stap voor stap mee. Lessen kun je heel flexibel indelen en makkelijk verzetten. De strippenkaart is voor mij echt ideaal, als je ook nog veel andere dingen moet en wilt doen in een week. Als je twijfelt, probeer het gewoon.

After many years not having played the clarinet I started again. Found Giulia via this website and love every lesson as I learn a lot about the instrument, get more confidence playing and have fun.Giulia has a lot of knowledge about the instrument and about music in general. She really looks at you as a student and tries to find the best methods to help you make progress (even if you have dyslexia). She gave me advise on a new clarinet with which I'm very happy and which suits me well. Giulia has a lot of very nice music pieces to play but is also open to your musical input, which keeps you engaged and help you explore music.To sum-up: I'd definitely recommend her to all.

More than just about playing piano!

I started learning piano with Mijin in April 2021. I was pretty insecure back then, because I didn't have any experience playing an instrument. I didn't even know how to read notes! The first conversation on the phone with Mijin already reassured me. She was very understanding and patient. And that's how she has been for the last year and a half. She emphasises to me that playing the piano is about fun, and making a mistake is more than okay. The lessons I have with Mijin are more than just about playing piano. She always makes time to talk about the things that are important in our lives and to us both. So, besides the life lessons I learned from her, I can actually play piano pretty well haha. I am very thankful for all the lessons I already had with Mijin and I couldn't wish for a better teacher.

Goede coach!

Nu 10 lessen gehad bij Erwin en het is heel goed bevallen. Ondanks dat ik al enige ervaring had, heb ik nu pas het idee dat ik ook daadwerkelijk wat begrijp van wat ik speel. Ik kan zeggen dat in 10 lessen mijn basspel veel meer verbeterd is dan de afgelopen paar jaar zonder les.
Heel veel praktische oefeningen en tips gehad en ook een gedegen theoretische onderbouwing die duidelijk uitgelegd wordt. Erwin heeft ook veel kennis van apparatuur en alles om het muziekmaken heen, wat elke les weer enorm leerzaam maakt. Daarbij is hij ook nog eens een goede coach (wat de lessen extra leuk maakt en het nog meer stimuleert om thuis vaak de bas in handen te nemen). Tarieven zijn vergelijkbaar met andere bas- en gitaardocenten.

Inspirerende basles!

De lessen bij Erwin zijn super inspirerend! Zelf bas ik al een ruime tijd en heb ik in meerdere bands gespeeld. Maar ik merkte dat ik in sommige dingen vastliep. Dus ik besloot om weer eens na lange tijd basles te nemen. Erwin voelt goed aan waar de pijnpuntjes zitten en heeft goeie vakkennis om daar dieper op in te gaan, zodat je echt resultaat ziet! Naast dat het een topdocent is het ook nog een super aardige kerel waardoor er een hele fijne relaxte sfeer hangt. Kortom zeker een aanrader!!!

Ik ervaar Erwin als een betrokken docent die goed meedenkt met de wensen en behoeftes voor het spelen van de basgitaar. Ik en Erwin zoeken samen de beste manier voor mij om te spelen en daardoor blijf je gemotiveerd om te spelen. Erwin geeft veel goede voorbeelden voor het spelen waardoor je techniek snel verbetert. Je kan je op je eigen tempo oefenen en is het geen probleem als het niet gelukt is. Dan zoeken we samen naar een andere oplossing. Erwin geeft op een gevarieerde manier les. Ik leer niet alleen de bas bespelen, maar ook over muziek en muzikaliteit. Spelen op gehoor en van blad, en aandacht voor techniek. En dat alles in een vrije vorm, net wat mij het meest helpt.

Meteen overstag!

Na lang te hebben getwijfeld uiteindelijk op mijn 45ste toch besloten dat ik de basgitaar wilde leren bespelen. Het instrument intrigeerde mij al lange tijd, maar mijn muzikale kennis was nihil. Na een proefles bij Erwin ging ik meteen overstag. Erwin is erg inspirerend en motiverend. Verwacht niet dat hij je van A tot Z bij de hand neemt. Hij stelt heel gerichte vragen en laat je veel zelf ontdekken. Na negen lessen en veel oefenen ben ik al verder gekomen dan ik ooit had durven denken. De lessen zijn elke keer een feestje en leveren een hoop kennis op. Erwin is naast een uitstekende docent ook een prettige kerel. Niet langer twijfelen dus, maar snel die proefles regelen!

Haar lessen zijn leuk, omdat we ook zingen en samenspelen (quatre mains) op de piano. Dit geeft mij energie om volgende week weer verder te leren. Elk jaar organiseert zij een voorspeelmiddag waarbij je op een vleugel mag spelen voor vrienden en familie. Het is natuurlijk spannend, maar ook zo leuk.

Lol tijdens de les!

Hoi juf Jabiz. Ik vind je een goede lerares omdat je goede instructies geeft. Tijdens de les heb ik ook wel lol met jou. Je leert me heel veel nieuwe dingen zonder dat ik het steeds moet herhalen. Hierdoor is de les niet saai, maar wel uitdagend. Ik denk dat je goed bent voor andere kinderen die ook pianoles willen.

No matter whether you are a young child or whether you have played music your whole life and now learning to play the piano. When something is not working out, Jabiz always hears it and knows how to help you. There is always another tip, which means she has must have a vast array of tips, hints and tricks. Rather than following a single methodic line, she tailors the lessons as she sees fit. For someone to be so flexible in their teachings, she really has to have mastered the piano. Vrijwel kansloos?

Twee jaar geleden ben ik op mijn vierenzestigste met pianolessen bij Frederic begonnen, op aanbeveling van een goede vriendin. Van verschillende kanten had ik te horen gekregen dat het leren van pianospelen op mijn leeftijd een vrijwel kansloze onderneming zou zijn. Daarbij kwam dat ik dacht dat Frederic, zelf een begaafd uitvoerend  pianist en componist, wel meer geïnteresseerd zou zijn in het lesgeven aan meer (ver-)gevorderde pianisten dan aan beginners zoals ik. Die vrees bleek ongegrond: Frederic's enthousiasme en gedrevenheid hebben ertoe geleid dat ik best goede vorderingen heb gemaakt in die tijd. Ik heb inmiddels met al aardig wat klassieke componisten kennisgemaakt, van wie ik weliswaar niet heel omvangrijke, maar wel mooie stukjes kan spelen. Frederic's onverstoorbaarheid met betrekking tot mijn, zeg maar “ leerproces” heeft er in belangrijke mate toe bijgedragen dat ik niet ontmoedigd ben geraakt en met veel plezier dagelijks oefen. Hij geeft helder en overtuigend aanwijzingen, zodat het altijd wel lukt om iets moeilijks tenslotte toch de baas te worden.
Frederic is ook gul in het overdragen van zijn  indrukwekkende kennis over muziek, muziekinstrumenten, muziekgeschiedenis, componisten, achtergronden en anekdotes , wat mij betreft een zeer welkome “bijkomstigheid”.  Kortom:  zo leer je nog eens wat!!!!

Very flexible teacher!

Frederic has been my piano teacher since 1992 and the fact that I have known him for more than 25 years in this capacity means that I greatly appreciate his way of teaching.
What is also special is that he is able and willing to be very flexible with his lessons. Because I live in two countries, I get a two hour lesson instead of one, In this way I can take enough lesson material with me when I go abroad, I can keep on practising and the continuation of my piano playing is being secured.

Al meer dan 25 jaar!

Sinds 1992 is Frederic mijn pianoleraar, en het feit dat hij dat dus al meer dan 25 jaar is bewijst dat ik zijn manier van lesgeven hogelijk waardeer.

Uitdagend en motiverend!

Dankzij Wouter heb ik mijn liefde voor het cello spelen weer teruggevonden. Na 16 jaar niet te hebben gespeeld, ben ik begonnen met lessen bij Wouter. In een ongedwongen en gezellige sfeer, zocht hij naar wat ik nodig had en paste de lessen daarop aan. Afhankelijk van je doel, bepaalt Wouter op een prettige manier het lesmateriaal en de wijze waarop je cello leert spelen. Gevoel en muziek!

Wouter is een enorm goede cellist en een hele leuke leraar! Zelfs als je nog een beginner bent, leert en stimuleert hij je al om je eigen gevoel en interpretatie mee te geven aan de muziek.
Als ik worstel met de techniek weet hij telkens weer een metafoor te verzinnen die aansluit bij mijn belevingswereld (“Dat doe je toch ook niet als je op je motor rijdt?!”) en me doet begrijpen én onthouden wat en hoe ik kan verbeteren. Daarnaast is Wouter ook gewoon een geweldig mooi mens. Er is altijd tijd voor een cappuccino en ongemerkt coacht hij je op veel meer dingen dan alleen de cello. Perfect Teacher!

Since I came to the Netherlands in 2017, I started to learn violin with Tomasz. Although I have been playing modern violin for fifteen years, Tomasz is the most special teacher I have ever met, and also the enlightenment teacher of my Baroque violin. I still remember the first lesson we started learning Bach's chaconne, rather than only focusing on technique improvement, he first taught me lots of basic knowledge on baroque music form and specifically in this piece: what is chaconne, what is the basso continuo and melody line in this piece, how to play the chords in a correct and historical way, etc. He also demonstrated on his baroque violin and that open me up a totally new world: a warmer, more active, and full of emotion and vitality voice that I have never heard before. Now I have already switch to baroque violin and started from zero, with the detailed and patient help by Tomasz. Sometimes he combined the baroque violin playing with history background, visualized the music style by painting, or other beautiful metaphors. He is a passionate and perfectionist musician and teacher. He said that playing the violin is like making a sculpture. Only crafted with great care and precision can complete a piece of artwork. All in all, Tomasz's violin lessons have benefited me a lot from both playing technique and musicianship.

Never Too Old!

Trumpet lessons with Laurie have literally changed my life. I am a "come-back" player returning to the instrument after a lapse of some 50 years, and also very old! I was very apprehensive about taking up the instrument again, but longed to do so, finally plucking up the courage to start again, with the encouragement of my wife. Laurie has embraced "my music" - traditional jazz - which is not his main genre or forte, so there is something of a mutual exchange of knowledge.

I have been learning again for some 10 months now, and am managing to play many pieces from the repertoire of my old Jazz Band - still a long way to go - and getting through the exercises, as well as theory, which I missed or had forgotten all those years ago.  My embouchure and sight reading are becoming more developed and improved weekly.

Having the opportunity to learn from a master, with practical demonstration and example, is something I never had previously experienced; it makes a huge difference.  Laurie's versatility and range of trumpet technique, ability and empathy for the student is, I believe, a rarity. I am ALMOST feeling confident enough to try sitting in with a band again.... Cannot recommend him highly enough.

Celia is an excellent teacher, also for the beginning student. She is very patient, instructive, and her explanations are a lot of fun. I enjoyed very much learning with her pieces from movies and video games that I love. She also gave me a baseline to create my own video game music. Great lessons!

Inmiddels heb ik twee jaar les van Ephraim. Hij weet mij iedere keer uit te dagen met stukken waarvan ik het niet voor mogelijk had gehouden, die ooit te kunnen spelen! Zanglessen in alle stijlen!

Op de fiets onderweg naar zangles van Erik Slik was ik altijd vrolijk mijn stembanden al aan het opwarmen. Op de terugweg nog vrolijker en nog steeds aan het zingen, nieuwe technieken aan het oefenen. Erik heeft een talent om je op jouw gemak te laten voelen, goed aan te sluiten op jouw niveau en wat er nodig is om vooruit te komen. Erik stelde mij altijd gerust als ik onzeker was met zijn engelengeduld. Erik straalt als hij les geeft en elke muziekgenre is mogelijk. Tijdens de lessen merkte ik een grote passie voor het muzikale vak bij Erik, een echte professional. Ik kan niks anders dan positief zijn over de zanglessen van Erik. Voor mij een goede match: een betrokken zangdocent met een goede dosis humor.

I trust her expertise!

I've had a course with Isabel and I am very happy with the amount of guidance I receive. The lessons are a good mix of relaxing and activating exercises combined with building an interesting repertoire. What I appreciate most is Isabel's ability to focus on different areas of improvement as they come up combined with great ideas for songs to sing. She is not afraid to think outside the box, which makes me trust her expertise and judgement. I always look forward to our next lesson!

How can we define Isabel in one word? She is simply the best. Isabel is a lovely person, in addition to being an excellent teacher. Indeed, she has a deep music culture and her lessons are funny and inspiring. Every lesson, you learn something new. Isabel combines feeling with technique in her teaching. She is always excited and provides a fun atmosphere to learn in. While she is methodical and very knowledgeable, she does not push you into singing 'by the book', but rather helps you find your own voice and strengths. Love for Baroque Flute!

Kristen is an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher! Already having played the silver flute for a long time, I decided to pick up the baroque flute two years ago. Kristen helped me buy a flute and through her lessons I quickly became confident on this new instrument. Her clear love for baroque music and period instruments has opened up a new world for me, exploring the many different styles of baroque (from early French to late German/Austrian). During her lessons we often play together, from which I learn a lot through imitation, but we also talk about the background of different pieces, ornamentations, etc, which helps me understand the music better.

Met sprongen vooruit!

Zes maanden geleden ben ik als volwassen beginner gestart bij Berta. Sinds ik bij Berta les heb merk ik dat mijn spelen met sprongen vooruit gaat.  Na twee maanden waren mijn vaardigheden al meer verbeterd dan in de voorafgaande zes maanden bij een andere docent. Met hele simpele aanwijzingen zorgt ze ervoor dat je toon en strijktechniek direct verbeterd. Technische oefeningen worden afgewisseld met het spelen van uitdagende stukken. Zo mocht ik na twee maanden al aan mijn eerste concerto beginnen! Ze motiveert me echt om het beste uit mezelf te halen en ik ga elke week met veel plezier naar mijn lessen. Ik kan niet anders dan zeggen dat ik echt ontzettend blij ben met Berta als viooldocent.

Six months ago, I started with Berta as an adult beginner. Since then, I have improved and have actually progressed more in my first two months with Berta than in the six months prior while being taught by a different teacher.  Using simple instructions she manages to immediately improve your bowing technique and also your sound. Technical exercises are combined with challenging pieces to ensure progress is combined with fun. After only two months I was already playing my first concerto. Berta really motivates you to get the best out of yourself and every week I thoroughly enjoy my lessons. There really is no other way to state it than to say that I am extremely happy with Berta as my violin teacher.

Corona Proof Fluitlessen!

Na een pauze van 20 jaar wilde ik opnieuw dwarsfluit gaan spelen en dankzij Konstantinos had ik weer snel de smaak te pakken. Niet alleen is hij een fantastische fluitist, hij heeft ook uitstekende didactische vaardigheden. Hij slaagt erin om de juiste balans te vinden tussen het aanmoedigen om een hoger niveau te bereiken en het creeren van een relaxte sfeer waarin het plezier in spelen vooropstaat. Ook is het een geruststelling dat hij zeer zorgvuldig omgaat met de coronarestricties. Tijdens de lockdown hadden we lessen via skype, en hij heeft nu de ruimte waar hij lesgeeft zo aangepast dat we altijd ruim 1,5 meter afstand kunnen houden. Bovendien lucht hij deze kamer voor en na de les. Het voelt heel veilig om daar te spelen.

Top Level Flute Teacher!

It has been slightly more than 1 year since I started studying with Konstantinos and the progress I have made so far is amazing as a person without any significant musical background! His knowledge is inarguably top level, he has the ability to teach you the proper way of playing flute and the best thing is that you can easily see his ambition and excitement during the classes when he teaches (as if he was the one to learn to play beautiful melodies instead of you). The location of his studio is also very convenient so you can easily reach there and go back to your place. Strongly recommended in all aspects!

Met sprongen vooruit!

Een half jaar geleden ben ik na lange tijd enkel in een orkest te hebben gespeeld klarinetles genomen bij Letizia. Had veel eerder moeten doen. Door haar enthousiasme en bewonderenswaardige muzikale inzicht heb ik gevoel dat mijn spel met sprongen vooruit gaat. Geweldig zoals zij mij ook dat inzicht geeft in de muziek waardoor het geheel zoveel meer wordt dan het simpel in de juiste volgorde noten oplepelen. Bovendien is Letizia een zeer aangenaam mens waarbij je je elke keer weer welkom voelt. Ik ga elke keer weer met enorm plezier naar Delfshaven!

Ik geniet van iedere les!

Na jaren niet meer te hebben gespeeld heb ik de klarinet weer opgepakt. Via deze website vond ik Giulia en geniet ik van iedere les waarin ik veel leer over het instrument, meer zelfvertrouwen krijg in het spelen en plezier beleef. Giulia heeft veel kennis van het instrument en van muziek. Ze heeft oog voor de student en bekijkt wat de student nodig heeft en past daar haar les op aan (ook als je dyslexie hebt). Ze heeft me advies gegeven bij het zoeken naar een nieuwe klarinet waar ik erg blij mee ben en welke uiteindelijk goed bij mij past. Giulia heeft veel mooie muziekstukken om te spelen maar staat ook open voor eigen inbreng, dat houdt je geboeid en helpt me de wereld van de muziek te ontdekken. Inspirerende klarinetlessen in Den Haag en Delft

Het was al een tijdje mijn wens om chalumeau te gaan spelen en na het lezen van het interview dat Giulia gaf in vakblad "de klarinet" over de chalumeau heb ik contact met haar opgenomen en sindsdien laat ik mij door haar coachen. Giulia is een bijzonder inspirerende docente. Haar liefde en enthousiasme voor de chalumeau heeft een wereld voor mij geopend, zij weet zoveel van de muzikale achtergronden van dit bijzondere instrument en van de barokmuziek in het algemeen en weet dit ook heel goed over te brengen, heel motiverend! Bovendien speelt zij zelf zo mooi op dit instrument waardoor het een genot is om met haar samen te spelen om zo de bijzondere kwaliteiten van dit instrument te ontdekken en eigen te maken. Daarbij geeft ze veel goede tips en adviezen waardoor je meteen verschil hoort en voelt. Tijdens de lessen hebben we het ook veel over de achtergrond van de verschillende werken, hetgeen erg helpt om de muziek beter te begrijpen en daardoor ook beter te spelen. Giulia is kundig, betrokken en relaxed hetgeen altijd zorgt voor een positieve sfeer.

In eerste instantie had ik Marco in zijn Duo Ebano horen spelen en ik was verrast over zijn veelzijdigheid. Zowel het romantische als het hedendaagse repertoire speelt hij schitterend.In de basklarinetlessen krijg ik op enthousiaste wijze feedback op houding en techniek. Door zijn directe manier van reageren heeft dat voor mij meteen effect. En passant vertelt hij veel over de speelwijze en de frasering. Giorgos helped me!

I already had violin lessons for years when I was little, but stopped during my studies at university. After university I wanted to start again, to get the feeling back of playing the violin and try to become a bit better at it. Giorgos helped me to get back at it and to improve it. I am studying violin with Giorgos for a year and I always look forward to my violin lessons. Giorgos is a very motivating and positive teacher with a relaxed manner (but not too relaxed ;--)).Giorgos has many effective solutions and exercises to solve any technical difficulty. In love with the Panflute

I was looking for a Pan Flute teacher online and I found some videos on YouTube where I saw Mariana Preda performing. I sent her an email and then I asked for a first introduction lesson. At that time I had almost no academic knowledge of music but she was able to teach me the basics of theory and solfege.
