Ciao! I am Letizia Maula, passionate clarinettist and enthusiastic and friendly clarinet teacher in Rotterdam. Looking for your first clarinet lessons ever? Picking up the instrument after a break? Or do you play regularly and want to learn new repertoire and take your clarinet playing to the next level?

Where do I teach?

I give the music lessons at my cosy studio near Rotterdam CS. Clarinet lessons in the comfort of your own home may be arranged.

Children Clarinet Classes

Children can start playing the clarinet from the age of 6. We use playful teaching methods and make music from the first lesson! I also provide duo clarinet lessons.

Beginners and Clarinet

With fun exercises and easy songs you'll be able to master the basics of clarinet playing in no time! You'll learn to read sheet music and basic music theory. Enjoy playful and instructive teaching methods and the first play together duets!

More Advanced

Clarinet classes to intermediate and advanced students will focus on more specific clarinet technique, breathing, interpretation, embouchure, sound and of course the beautiful repertoire. Let's explore our favourite instrument and play wonderful and fun duets!

Chamber Music

I believe that Chamber music is the soul of the music: through my network I can provide you one or more students to play with in a lesson and I organise during the year chamber music concerts to share your favourite musical pieces with your friends and family.

About me

I was born in 1989 and I’m from Bergamo, Italy. After being graduate and postgraduate in Milan, I moved to The Netherlands and I’ve accomplished two Masters: Master in Conservatorium Van Amsterdam with Arno Piters (Master 1 year) and at the Codarts Rotterdam Conservatory with Julien Hervé. I’m active in different fields: Chamber Music, Orchestra and Teaching.

I was part of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra Academy, Santa Cecilia Academy Youth Orchestra in Rome (2011-2012); Netherlands Youth Orchestra (2015), Nederland Studenten Orkest (2017) and Academist at the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale RAI in Turin (2017-2018).

I’m regularly invited to perform with the Sinfonia Rotterdam, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Radio Philharmonisch Orkest, Orchestra del Festival Brescia-Bergamo and Mannheimer Philharmoniker. I am part of Phoenix Trio, the piano trio based in Rotterdam with the cellist Sylvia Cempini and the pianist Misaki Yamada.
