Drum Lessons in Amsterdam
Hi, I'm George Hadow. I've been playing drums for more than 25 years, performing in over 30 countries...and I still love it! Whether you're picking up sticks for the first time or you're an advanced player looking to refine your sound, I offer lessons tailored to your needs and goals.
My Approach
Drumming is personal--there's no one-size-fits-all. I don't follow rigid curricula unless it serves the student. If you love it, you'll play more. So we focus on what excites you and build skills through music you care about.
My Strengths
I've studied South Indian classical rhythm in depth--complex and nuanced, but I can break it down for both beginners and advanced players. I also have extensive experience with free improvisation and avant-garde music, as well as a strong background in jazz and rock.

Never played before? No problem. I'll guide you step by step--from holding your sticks to playing your first grooves, beats, and fills. Already drumming and want to go deeper into technique, improvisation, or specific styles? We'll shape the lessons around what inspires you.

Drum Studio
Lessons take place either in my studio at NDSM-werf in Amsterdam or possibly at your studio/home. Online lessons are also possible. My studio is easy to reach by bike or public transport.
