Drum Lessons in Amsterdam
Hi, I'm George Hadow. I've been playing drums for more than 25 years, performing in over 30 countries...and I still love it! Whether you're picking up sticks for the first time or you're an advanced player looking to refine your sound, I offer lessons tailored to your needs and goals.
My Approach
Drumming is personal--there's no one-size-fits-all. I don't follow rigid curricula unless it serves the you. If you love it, you'll play more. So we focus on what excites you and build skills through music you care about.
Children and Drumming!
Children always find percussion and drumming very impressive and fun to try. In a trial lesson, your child can sit behind a real drum kit and experience what it feels like. My Dutch is intermediate, and I can teach children in Dutch.

Whatever style you choose to play, you need good coordination and stick technique. In short: I'll take care of that!
All Styles
I've studied jazz, pop, rock, and South Indian classical rhythms extensively. Think of drummers like Zakir Hussein, an example of complex and refined drumming. Does it seem difficult? I can break it down for both beginners and advanced players and I'll explain it clearly, and you'll definitely master it! I also have extensive experience with free improvisation and avant-garde music.

Drum Studio
Lessons take place either in my studio at NDSM-werf in Amsterdam or possibly at your studio/home. Online lessons are also possible. My studio is easy to reach by bike or public transport.
