Saxophone Teacher in Berkel en Rodenrijs
Hello there! My name is Claudio Jr De Rosa, I am an Italian saxophonist, clarinetist, composer, arranger and saxophone teacher based in Berkel en Rodenrijs, offering saxophone and clarinet lessons to eager students in all styles and of all ages and levels. I am a faculty member of the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag, where I teach Jazz Arranging, Jazz Composition, and direct the KC Big Band.

Let’s get to know each other, talk about your goals, and most importantly — play some music! I’d love to hear what’s on your playlist and find out what kind of music you’d like to play. Never played the saxophone before? No problem! I have an instrument ready for you to try during your trial lesson. I can also help and advise you when it comes to choosing and purchasing your own saxophone or clarinet.
Sax Lessons for Beginners
Getting started is a very fun process, and during our trial lesson I can provide you with an instrument, and help you through the choice of buying an instrument. After learning the basics of the instrument, we’ll focus on sound projection, technique, reading, rhythm and groove exercise, always keeping ‘fun’ as one of our priorities.
Advanced Saxophone Players

Saxophone Lessons for Children
Once your child’s teeth have developed sufficiently, (usually around the age of 8) it’s a great time to start learning the saxophone. For beginners, we usually recommend starting with an alto saxophone. It’s smaller and lighter than a tenor saxophone, making it a perfect choice for children. Your child will learn:
- to read music
- good breathing technique and posture
- basic music theory
and before long, they’ll be playing along with fun play-along tracks. Learning the saxophone is not only educational, it’s great fun too!
Where are the lessons held?
I have build a nice and cozy homemade sound-proofed studio in my home in Berkel en Rodenrijs, so I can play also in the late evening, which gives us great flexibility in scheduling lessons. You can easily reach Berkel en Rodenrijs from Pijnacker, Bleiswijk, Bergschenhoek, Nootdorp, Delfgauw, Lansingerland. A little further, Delft, Zoetermeer, Leidschendam. About Me
I am a passionate performer with over 15 years of experience. Throughout my career I had the opportunity to perform all over Europe, North America, Asia, and North Africa, releasing 16 records and receiving numerous awards and distinctions. I am also a busy arranger on commission, writing for large ensembles worldwide.
