In Person Violin Lessons for all Levels

Are you looking for lessons for your child? Starting with violin yourself or are you more experienced and looking for ways to take your playing to the next level? Want to learn more about baroque music, romantic repertoire and polish your technique?

Children and Violin

Over the years I have seen how motivated, playful and creative children can be to discover new interesting things about the violin. This curious way of learning fascinates me, and I encourage it as much as possible! Skills, basic knowledge and reading notes go hand in hand with fun in music.

What can you expect?

Your child plays from various books such as: Zo Speel Ik Viool, Fiddle Time and Speel Viool. In addition, we play well-known classical and popular pieces together. Fun, educational and motivating!

Book a Trial Lesson

The trial lesson is a nice opportunity to get acquainted, discuss your goals, play something if you have some experience already, or hold the violin for the first time! I can advise you if you don't have an instrument yet. I'd love to hear you or your child play and you will get an impression of my way of teaching,

Where do the Violin Lessons take place?

You are very welcome to take lessons at my home studio in the centre of The Hague. Do you prefer the comfort of your own home? I can also travel to you for lessons in The Hague, Rijswijk, Delft, and Delfgauw.

More Advanced

If you play regularly, it is wonderful to discover new Romantic, Classical, or Baroque repertoire and take your playing to the next level. Orchestral parts and chamber music often contain challenging passages that benefit from effective, targeted practice. I am happy to help you with this. Through clear instructions, études, and tailored exercises focused on your specific needs, you will soon be able to play with greater ease.

Diverse Styles

We can also explore different genres together, or delve into jazz, pop, and improvisation. Develop your technique and tone while playing the music that moves you most!

What will we focus on?

• Bowing techniques (staccato, spiccato, legato)
• Tone and sound production
• Vibrato
• Music theory
• Playing in higher positions
• Your favourite music (from Classical to jazz and pop)

Online Lessons

We use videos that you make at home of your playing, so that I can give you online feedback later. Online sessions can be a good solution if you live too far away, are on holiday and have your violin with you, or can't find a suitable time for live sessions.

About Me

I started playing the violin at a young age in my hometown ,and moved to Granada to study Bachelor. At the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, I did my Master's degree with a specialisation in Baroque interpretation.

From Jazz to Baroque

I perform with the Metropol Orchestra (jazz), the orchestra of Granada, as a member of 'Escher Quintet' where i play impressionistic music.I also play with 'Il Giardino del Piacere', a specialised ensemble with which I perform baroque and renaissance repertoire.

Teaching Experience

I gained a lot of teaching experience during my work at various music schools, in Granada (Cullar Vega and Churriana) and in the Netherlands (Bergschenhoek). I have taught at the school for young talent of the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
