Playful Approach for Children
When your child is about 5–11 years old, my lessons offer simple exercises to develop holding and playing the violin, reading music, and basic musical knowledge in a playful way.
What can you expect?
We have fun duets, classical and popular pieces to play together, combining technique with musicality. Very important: making music! Music theory and instrumental skills are combined in a playful way. Lessons are available in English, Dutch, and Greek.
Where do I teach in Gorinchem?
Studio Baroque Music Gorcum is in the former office building at Vroedschapstraat 15 in Gorinchem: an initiative to promote the flourishing of music and baroque music in the city and surrounding area. Here I teach baroque violin and modern violin.
Lessons in Utrecht
In Utrecht, I teach at De Molen ArtHouse, a location that offers space for creativity, peace, and focus, right in the heart of Utrecht.
About Me
Besides modern violin, I play baroque violin and have a master's degree in Historical Performance Practice from the HKU Conservatory. I have specialised in early music, but I am also interested in interdisciplinary performance, improvisation, and experimental works. Currently, I enjoy collaborating with the ensembles Dialoghi Trio and Camerata Utricia, with whom I perform regularly.
