Hello! I'm Panagiotis, an all round guitar player and enthusiastic music teacher in Utrecht with many years of teaching experience. I offer both acoustic and electric guitar lessons for all ages and levels, tailored to your needs and tastes through a fun and compelling journey.

Lesson Location

You are welcome in my guitar studio in Utrecht centre, but I also can come to your home. Depending on distance and schedule, travel costs may be charged extra. Let's discuss the options during your trial lesson!

Trial Guitar Lesson

A trial lesson is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted and to let me know what you want to achieve with your guitar. You'll get a feel for how I teach, and we'll discuss possible lesson times, your favourite music, and I can advise you on renting or buying a guitar, if needed.

Guitar lessons for beginners

Playing guitar has no age limit

Children can start on a smaller guitar and quickly discover how much fun it is! If you used to play guitar and want to pick it up again, I'm sure: It's never too late, and you'll definitely enjoy it!

Classical Guitar  Beginners - Advanced

Playing classical guitar is fantastic. The classical guitar, also known as Spanish guitar, is stringed with nylon strings. It requires a specific and precise playing technique. Perhaps my favourite part is playing with dynamics and exploring the quality and colour of your tone. And, of course, I'm happy to delve into beautiful classical music like Rodrigo, Albeníz, Ginastera, Villa Lobos, Benjamin Britten, Bach, and Baroque music.

Electric Guitar

For intermediate/advanced students, we focus on:

About Me

I'm Panagiotis Gourdoupis (b. 1986, Greece), a guitarist, composer and dedicated music educator. My work brings together a classical foundation with the freedom and creativity of contemporary jazz.
After completing my classical guitar studies in Greece, I moved to Utrecht in 2017 to study Jazz Guitar at the HKU Utrecht Conservatory and become part of the vibrant Dutch music scene. Since then, I've performed with a wide range of jazz, Latin and classical ensembles at renowned venues and festivals, including TivoliVredenburg and North Sea Round Town.

Award

In 2024, I received the Amarte Music Fonds award for my debut album Any Time Now. Together with my quartet, I perform regularly throughout the Netherlands while developing and recording our first album.
From Classical Roots to Contemporary Jazz
My musical journey began with classical guitar at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory in Greece, where I built a strong technical and artistic foundation. I later expanded my studies at the HKU Utrecht Conservatory, specialising in Jazz & Pop Guitar.
Alongside performing, teaching is an essential part of my musical life. I enjoy helping students of all levels develop their technique, musical understanding and personal artistic voice in a supportive and inspiring environment.
