Piano Lessons in Utrecht - Jazz- Pop - Classical
Hi! I am Flery, a Greek pianist and a piano teacher based in Utrecht. I give piano lessons to complete beginners and more experienced pianists, with a strong focus on jazz, pop and other contemporary music genres.
Piano Lessons for Children
I love teaching children and my lessons offer the best of playful methods, fun exercises and a selection of welknown classical and popular tunes. Your child learns the best classical basics of piano playing, to read music, basic music theory. Fun in music comes first! We will play together in every lesson, the most fantastic way to discover the magic of music!
Classical basis for all genres
Whether you like jazz pop or classical music, you have little or no experience with piano yet, the emphasis will be on the basic principles of music and piano. Since pianists in all genres play with a classical piano technique, we will build a solid basis with the classical methode. You will be able to play pop songs, jazz standards and any other genre on a high level!
What can you expect?
Develop an excellent technique with famous classical and contemporary tunes and etudes, scales, chords, exercises for sound, rhythm and reading music. Music theory and ear training are essential parts of the lesson, but fun in music is paramount!
More advanced
Do you want to explore new jazz or pop songs? Would you like to immerse yourself in the playing of great jazz pianists, discover how they play, learn about timing chord progressions and develop your improvisation skills? I specialise in various contemporary music genres and are happy meeting you for a trial lesson!
Improvisation
Learn to improvise and infuse your personal musical style into your favourite tunes. Whether it is jazz or pop or any other genre, this skill can definitely boost your creativity and musical expression. We work on technique, jazz harmony, pentatonic scales, improvisation, writing your own songs, solos and comping.
Location
I give the lessons at my studio in Utrecht (Ondiep area). However, if it's more convenient for you, we can also arrange the lessons to be at your location, provided it is within a reasonable distance.

About Me
I recieved my first piano lessons at the age of 6. I studied classical music and received a degree under the guidance of Christos Noulis. I continued my studies in Jazz, taking lessons and attending several workshops and seminars, and in 2019 I was accepted in the jazz/pop department in the Conservatory of Utrecht as an undergraduate student. In 2023 I received my bachelor's degree.
Projects and bands
I have been a member of various bands and genres, including jazz, pop, rock and reggae both in Greece and in Utrecht and I have actively participated in numerous musical projects. Currently, I lead my own musical project called "Dialogue". I'm also pianist and co-founder of Trio Tensegrity, a contemporary jazz band based in Utrecht. I enjoy collaborating with other musicians and taking part in their projects and bands.
