Hello! I'm Panagiotis Gourdoupis, an all-round guitar player and enthusiastic professional music teacher in Utrecht with many years of teaching experience. I offer both acoustic and electric guitar lessons for all ages and levels, tailored to your needs and tastes through a fun and compelling journey.
Lesson Location
You are welcome to my guitar studio in Utrecht centre, but I also can come to you. Depending on distance and schedule, travel costs may be charged extra. Let's discuss the options during your trial lesson!
Trial Guitar Lesson - Classical and Electric
A trial lesson is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted and to let me know what you want to achieve with your guitar. Whether you are into classical guitar and classical music or jazz, pop, or other styles on electric guitar.
- First time? You can try the guitar during our intake and experience some fun already!
- Experienced player looking for inspiration and motivation? I'd love to hear you play! You'll get a feel for how I teach, and we'll discuss possible lesson times, your favourite music, and I can advise you on renting or buying a guitar, if needed.

Playing classical music on guitar is an awesome experience! The classical guitar, also known as Spanish guitar, is stringed with nylon strings and when you play it well it rings! It requires a specific and precise playing technique and I can help you to discover how to master this. Perhaps my favourite part is playing with dynamics and exploring the quality and colour of your tone. And, of course, I'm happy to delve into beautiful classical music like:

About Me
I'm Panagiotis Gourdoupis (b. 1986, Greece), a classical guitarist, composer and dedicated music educator. My work brings together a classical foundation with the freedom and creativity of contemporary jazz.
- After completing my classical guitar studies in Greece, I moved to Utrecht in 2017 to study Jazz Guitar at the HKU Utrecht Conservatory and become part of the vibrant Dutch music scene. Since then, I've performed with a wide range of jazz, Latin and classical ensembles at renowned venues and festivals, including TivoliVredenburg and North Sea Round Town.
Award
- In 2024, I received the Amarte Music Fonds award for my debut album Any Time Now. Together with my quartet, I perform regularly throughout the Netherlands while developing and recording our first album.
From Classical Roots to Contemporary Jazz - My musical journey began with classical guitar at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory in Greece, where I built a strong technical and artistic foundation. I later expanded my studies at the HKU Utrecht Conservatory, specialising in Jazz & Pop Guitar.
- Alongside performing, teaching is an essential part of my musical life. I enjoy helping students of all levels develop their technique, musical understanding and personal artistic voice in a supportive and inspiring environment.
