About Singing lessons

Why does singing moves people?

Singing connects and making music together with others, whether it's in the stands of your favourite sports club, in a disco, during a beautiful service, in an opera choir, or 'just' at your weekly choir evening; the energy released by singing is magical!

Are singing lessons good for your breathing?

We all breathe, but we're usually not aware of it. Through singing lessons, you learn to use your breath with understanding and sensitivity. Consciously managing your breath and voice is also important when you use your voice frequently as a professional speaker.

Can you take singing lessons if you have difficulty speaking?

You'll notice that by taking singing lessons, your speech becomes more fluent and confident. Your message comes across clearly, and you feel heard. You can train your voice and receive expert advice from a trained singer and teacher to get and keep it in good shape.

Does singing help with stuttering?

When you sing, your breathing is usually freer, and you also use a different part of your brain. Singing is almost always more fluid than speaking, and as you may have noticed, speaking more slowly helps with stuttering. Conscious breathing can definitely help if you want to speak more fluently.

Are singing lessons daunting if you're shy?

When you dare and sing from your heart, something truly special happens! It can be quite daunting to start singing, but you're in a relaxed and safe environment, and your teacher understands and acknowledges your challenges.

Why do I feel shy on stage?

It's often said that singing is the most direct and personal way to make music. Together with a pianist, guitar, a band, or an ensemble; you're literally alone, standing there, with nothing to hide. Everything you do and don't do is audible in your voice.

Why are people moved by singing?

Singing connects and making music together with others, whether it's in the stands of your favorite sports club, in a nightclub, during a beautiful service, in an opera choir, or simply at your weekly choir evening; releases a magical energy!

Can you take singing lessons if you don't have a beautiful voice?

Everyone can sing, and there's no such thing as a bad voice! However, you must first discover and accept your own voice (type). With good guidance and personal support, you'll experience all the possibilities of your voice!

What is the advantage of a professional teacher?

It's best to take singing lessons with an experienced teacher who can help you train and develop your voice in a safe way. Your voice is a delicate instrument, and a professional who can help you get and keep it in good condition is the best way to enjoy it for a long time.

Can I expand my vocal range?

By developing your technique, you will discover how to expand your range. Because every voice is unique, your singing teacher will carefully select exercises that are specifically suitable and desirable for you.

Will I get private lessons?

You'll receive private lessons in a pleasant environment, and with effective exercises, you'll learn to use your voice optimally. You'll also work on repertoire, and there's a strong focus on presentation and interpretation of the lyrics.

What music can I learn to sing?

Your musical preference plays an important role, and enjoyment is always paramount! With your unique voice, you'll sing the music that makes you happy! Pop, Classical, Opera, Baroque, Chanson, Musical, Jazz, Brazilian, Songwriter.

Can I learn to speak more freely in public?

Public speaking is an important part of many professions. Whether you must give a presentation at your company, are in a courtroom or in front of a class, on the radio or TV, or giving a lecture; what you say must be clearly understood and come across well. Your voice must sound pleasant and remain in perfect condition, despite occasional tension. With speech therapy-related exercises, you can train and care for your voice and learn the basics of healthy and effective voice use. This way, you can speak more freely in public and get your message across even better!
