Hello, I'm Borislava Petrova, pianist and dedicated piano teacher in Oegstgeest. My private lessons are for beginners who are starting with piano from scratch, but also for intermediate and experienced pianists, looking for new repertoire and motivation! Discover many ways to develop your technique and musicality. All ages welcome!

Getting back into playing after a break?

Maybe you are a little lost on where to start and don't know what to expect? We will take off from where you have stopped. Take your time and allow yourself to relearn things! You will remember the forgotten things, learn new things and reach a higher level!

Trial lesson

The trial lesson is a nice way to get acquainted, discuss your goals and musical wishes. I love to hear you play and you'll get an impression of the lesson location and my teaching style. I look forward to meeting you!

Beginners - All Ages

Child or adult, the best way to play the piano is with a classical technique. You'll learn an excellent basis with famous classical and popular tunes, easy etudes, personalised exercises, ear training, reading sheet music, basic music theory, a correct finger placement, hand and sitting positions.

Classical and Popular Piano Music

Tuition materials include famous classical pieces by a.o Bach, Clementi, Chopin, Mozart, Bartok or Einaudi, etudes, popular piano tunes and exercises tailored to your specific needs. Fun in music is paramount!

Discover new repertroire - Advanced

Many wonderful known and unknown compositions for the piano in my library! Get inspired and enjoy working on interpretation, your feeling for form and style, piano technique, dexterity, articulation, dynamics and toucher.

Where are the lessons held?

I give the piano lessons at my home in Oegstgeest. My cosy piano studio is easily accessible for students from Wassenaar, Rijnsburg, Leiden, Oegstgeest, Voorhout, Noordwijk area.

Thanks to my experience of many years as accompanist of choirs and singers as well as to my own vocal preparation, I offer coaching and professional accompaniments to singers and choirs for any cases.

About Borislava Petrova

Borislava graduated the National Academy of Music 'Prof. Pancho Vladiguerov'- Sofia by Masters degree of Music and Specialty of  "piano".She has worked as musical pedagogue, performer and co-accompanist initially in the National School of Dance Art in Sofia, later as university lecturer by piano and chamber music in Institut Superieur de Musique a Sfax- Tunisia /2000-2004/From 2004 until 2016 she is director of Music Center 'La Font de rouve' -France/lessons, concerts, accompaniments and chamber music/.Since September 2016 she settles in Oegstgeest near Leiden / Netherlands.
