About Guitar lessons

How long is it recommended to practise your guitar?

When you're just starting guitar lessons, you can get by with about 20 to 30 minutes a day. As you get more advanced, an hour or more will fly by!

Are you worried you're learning the wrong things?

That's why you might be looking for a teacher who can help you with answers and personalized tips. This way, you'll know what to work on.

How can I play guitar without sore fingers?

By playing more often, you develop calluses on your fingertips and make them less sensitive. It's better to practice a few short times a day than to practice for long periods of time!

How can I prevent sore fingertips while playing guitar?

Besides playing regularly to prevent calluses on your fingertips, not squeezing too hard is also a good tip. The string height and the type of strings can also make a difference. Steel strings are less flexible than nylon strings. Depending on the type of music you play and the type of guitar, you can experiment with strings. Your teacher can give you excellent advice!

What should you do if you get muscle pain while playing guitar?

An experienced teacher will teach you, among other things, the correct posture and position of your hands and fingers. Relaxing your muscles is important for playing faster and for longer periods of time and preventing injuries.

Where can I go with questions about my guitar?

In addition to instructions on how to play, your teacher will also provide advice about your instrument, the strings, picks, and purchasing and setting up your guitar and amplifier.

What should I do to stay motivated?

It's normal for the songs you want to play to be fast and advanced. With the help of a good teacher and plenty of focused but relaxed practice, you can easily master them.

How do I know which guitar I should get?

In terms of genres, rock, punk, and metal are ideal for electric guitar. Perhaps you're curious about other music genres, such as Classical Spanish, Flamenco, Greek music, Folk, Manouche, or Blues. Your teacher knows that some styles are better suited to acoustic guitar, while others are more suited to a specific type of electric guitar.

Why is guitar so popular?

With a guitar, you can make music anytime, anywhere—with friends, at parties, or just by yourself! Lose track of time and escape into another world, exploring sound, sounds you've never made before, combining lyrics with a melody or a few chords. You're being creative and creating your own reality, your own world!

Is guitar difficult to learn?

Depending on your goals, guitar can be very difficult or very easy to play.

What are the benefits of private lessons?

Private lessons in a relaxed atmosphere and personal setting offer detailed information and personalised instructions. You'll play music for fun, and that goes hand in hand with your progress!

What will you learn in guitar lessons?

You'll learn, depending on what you want to do with your guitar: chord grips, chord lab, tabs, picks, picking, classical technique, fretboard fluency, harmony and theory, rhythm, comping, ear training, solos, lead guitar, improvisation, and how to use guitar software and hardware.

Guitar Music Styles

We've only mentioned a few styles, but you can probably think of something that's not listed! Pop, Jazz, Latin, Classical, Spanish, Songwriter, Country, Flamenco, Rock, Metal, Blues, and Manouche.
