Hi! I'm a guitarist and guitar teacher in Rotterdam North, Piero Conte. I teach guitar to anyone with a passion for music! Are you already experienced and want to brush up on your technique, learn to improvise in a specific style, or simply learn some chords and play a great song? You can expect a relaxed atmosphere in my lessons, and we'll tailor the content to your goals.

Trial Lesson

In the trial lesson, we'll play a bit, discuss your guitar needs, the lesson location, and lesson times, and you'll get a feel for my teaching style. If you don't have a guitar yet, one is ready for you!

You're welcome in my fully equipped music studio at Teilingerstraat 126C, Rotterdam. Just behind Central Station!

Guitar Lessons for Beginners

We'll start by teaching you how to properly place your fingers on the strings and strum your first "song." You can do this with your fingers, picking, or a pick. You'll also learn to play chords, tune your instrument, and play tabs or sheet music. You'll soon be playing simple songs that sound great!

Advanced

Discover how to play with a specific feel, groove, and perfect sound in any genre. Want to delve deeper into improvising solos in jazz, pop, songwriter, blues, gospel, or folk? You'll develop your musicality with targeted exercises and songs that suit your current level, but also challenge you to practise and improve your playing! I'll give you plenty of tips and personalised guidance.

Production & Songwriting

Discover how to write great songs and make a good recording of them. Learn to use Ableton creatively after you've created a great song on your guitar. Develop your skills in completing your sketches and ideas and expanding them to different instruments! I'm a skilled producer and I can teach you how to record your song or use the software Ableton in a creative way! Discover how to complete your sketches and ideas and how to extend those to different instruments!

Flexibility

With the lesson packs of 5 or 10 lessons you have flexibility and you will never forfeit a lesson.

About Me

I'm an Italian guitarist, living in Rotterdam. After leaving for the Netherlands as an exchange student, I graduated in 2020 from Codarts in Jazz Guitar. I have been active as a session musician, composer and music teacher for over 8 years. I played as guitar player and arranger for RBSN. 

Producer

Now I'm currently active as producer and guitar player for Antares Flare, Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance trio, Plankton Orchestra and Sinnerman. I released my first record with Antares Flare through the Amsterdam based label Wicked Wax and RBSN record with the New York based label Ropeadope in 2021.

On Stage

I shared the stage with artists such as Roberto Gatto, Natalio Mangalavite, Yamandu Costa, Tineke Postma and more. I played in several festival and clubs in Italy, Germany, Belgium, France and Netherlands like Teatro Eliseo, Spring attitude, Teatro India, De Doelen, Dizzy Jazz Club, International Music Meeting Festival, Lantarenvenster, North Sea Jazz Festival, Make it Jazz Festival, Jazz Festival Generations.
