Hi! I am Pelagia. I’m a singer and vocal coach based in Rotterdam. I‘m passionate about Greek and Eastern Mediterranean music. Together, we’ll explore the beauty and depth of Greek music tradition, helping you express the melodies you like with your own voice. 

Sing Rebetiko & other Greek Musical Styles 

Do you want to sing Rebetiko or any other Greek music style (folk, entechno, pop), while exploring the rich musical traditions of Greece, Asia Minor, and surrounding regions? My lessons guide you through Greek music using maqam scales, traditional ornamentation, and improvisation techniques.

• Improvisation with maqam scales and traditional ornamentation.

 Lessons in Rotterdam & Amsterdam 

• Rotterdam: Lessons at my studio (close to Rotterdam Alexander station - free parking).
• Amsterdam: Lessons at the student’s home (limited days per month).

About Me 

I am Pelagia, performer and vocal coach based in Rotterdam. I began my musical journey at age five at the Municipal Conservatory of Grevena, studying classical piano and music theory. Later, I trained in contemporary vocals at the Conservatory Eleftherios Venizelos in Chania, completed my bachelor’s specializing in Ottoman singing and Maqam music at Codarts University in Rotterdam, and I am now pursuing a Master in Music Therapy. 

Passion

I have performed with various bands in Greece and the Netherlands, and I am passionate about teaching Greek and Eastern Mediterranean music, helping students develop both technique and expressive depth. 

Artist

I have performed at venues including Theater Dakota, Podium Mozaiek, De Doelen, MIMIK Film Theater, Splendor, Maas Theater, Cinetol, and Schouwburg Odeon, among others. My performing experience informs my teaching, helping students develop stage presence and expressive depth.
