Hi! My name is Robin Eggers and I am an English/ German drummer and percussionist living in Rotterdam. I teach at my studio at Soundport close to Marconiplein with a beautiful view overlooking the skyline of Rotterdam.

What styles?

My experience ranges from classical music to rock, pop, hip hop, jazz, world music and latin styles but also theatrical percussion, body percussion and free improvisation.

Percussion Lessons

Most people want to sit behind a drum kit, however I do also have other percussion instruments such as cajón, djembe and various hand percussion instruments.

• Improve listening skills, concentration, and confidence.

Lessons are interactive and enjoyable, with a balance of learning, practice, and playing music. The most important goal is to inspire a lifelong love of music while helping every student develop their skills and confidence behind the drum kit.

Rhythm is amazing

Rhythm and groove is all around you. It's everywhere and a massive part of our life as drummers/percussionists. Rhythm and timing play a major role in your life: In your body, your social existence, nature and music. As a drummer, your role is to play the rhythm, beat and timing of your favourite music. Your band can't live without it!

About Me

I have been making sound by hitting objects such as pots and pans since I can remember. My first drum lesson was at the age of 7 and I continued my training to become a percussionist in Germany throughout my school years. I gained a Bachelors degree at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK and later graduated with a Masters degree from Codarts Rotterdam Conservatorium in 2014.

Various Bands

Since living in the Netherlands I have played with various bands and ensembles such as Slagwerk Den Haag, Asko-Schonberg Ensemble, Veenfabriek, Ensemble Klang, Het Zuidelijk Toneel and many more. I am currently on tour throughout the Netherlands and Belgium with the musical Les Miserables.
