Guitar Trial Lesson
Since guitar lessons are a personal part of your week and you want to know exactly what to expect, the personal intake/trial lesson is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted. I’d love to hear you play and do some work together so we can get a feel for each other’s style! I look forward to it! No waiting list at the moment!
Your first Guitar Lessons
We’ll explore the guitar in a relaxed atmosphere, learning the basics step by step. Maybe we start on an acoustic guitar. We’ll focus on relaxed posture, left- and right-hand technique, strumming, chords, picking, reading tabs and sheet music, and basic music theory. Your own playlist serves as the starting point for the songs you play.
Advanced - take your playing to the next level
Using targeted exercises and personalised guidance, we’ll work on enhancing your technique. We can work on your own songs, the latest hits, or jazz and Latin standards! Through practical tips, demonstration and imitation, and clear explanations, you’ll improve your dexterity, accuracy, and creativity, noticing how you play more fluidly, learn to improvise solos, and bring more feeling into your playing.

My studio is located in the heart of Rotterdam, offering easy accessibility for all students. With tram and metro stops just a stone's throw away, and Rotterdam Central Station within a10-minute walk, getting to your lessons couldn't be more convenient.
What to expect?
During our lessons, you can expect a relaxed atmosphere where we'll cover essential skills such as reading music, chords, picking, strumming, and using tabs. Nex to those, singing while playing the guitar, will also be explored. I'll guide you in developing proper posture and technique. Additionally, we'll delve into solos, accompaniments, songwriting, basic music theory, and improvisation to enhance your overall musicality.

The electric guitar's versatility is truly remarkable, thanks to the ability to modify its sound using effects such as reverb, delay, distortion, and countless others. If you're curious about exploring this sonic realm, I'll guide you through the world of guitar pedals and effects, both in hardware and software form. Unleash your creativity by experimenting with a wide range of sounds!
Music Software and Ableton Live
In today's technological era, music creation and performance often involve incorporating software. I offer lessons and insights into the creative potential of Ableton Live, a powerful recording software and effects unit. These lessons can be taken seperately from guitar lessons or combined with your guitar and music learning journey, providing you with a holistic musical experience.

About Michalis
Michalis Michailidis is a Greek guitarist and music producer based in Rotterdam. Michalis showed a knack for music in his early teens and started having lessons from several acknowledged local musicians.
- After graduating with merits from the Modern Music school of Thessaloniki (2007-2011) he moved to the Netherlands and completed his Bachelor of Jazz Guitar at the Maastricht Conservatorium (2011-2015) and his Master of Music degree at Codarts, Rotterdam (2016-2018).
- During his decade-long residency in the Netherlands, Michalis has performed in venues and festivals all around the world with various bands and styles of music while in the mean time developed his own music production and education studio.
