Ik ben Michalis Michailidis en ik geef prive gitaarlessen aan kinderen, jongeren en volwassenen in Rotterdam. Een leven zonder muziek is voor mij ondenkbaar en ik vind gitaarspelen absoluut cool! Of je nu je geliefde nummers wilt spelen of je eigen muziek wilt componeren en opnemen, ik sta klaar om je te ondersteunen.

Verschillende stijlen

Houd je van rock en pop, reggea, metal, blues, jazz of singer-songwriter? Ik kan je helpen om je favoriete genres onder de knie te krijgen. Meld je aan voor een proefles en laten we samen muziek maken!

Handige leslocatie

Mijn studio is gelegen in het hart van Rotterdam en is heel gemakkelijk bereikbaar. Met tram- en metrohaltes op steenworp afstand en Rotterdam Centraal Stationop slechts 10 minuten loopafstand, is het nog nooit zo gemakkelijk geweest om naar je lessen te komen!

Beginners

Je leert stap voor stap de basis van gitaarspelen en we besteden aandacht aan een ontspannen houding, linker- en rechterhand techniek, strumming, akkoorden, fingerpicking, tabs, notenlezen en basis muziektheorie.

Gevorderden

Jouw favoriete muzieksoort staat centraal in de les, we werken aan je eigen nummers, de laatste hits of jazz en latin standards! We gaan aan de slag met tips uit de praktijk om meer uit je techniek te halen. Je merkt hoe je soepeler gaat spelen, solo's leert improviseren en meer gevoel in je spel kunt leggen.

Gitaarpedalen en effecten

Een grote ontwikkeling om het gitaargeluid te beinvloeden zijn de pedalen en effecten zoals Reverb, Delay, Distortion en veel andere geluidseffecten. Je gaat experimenteren met pedalen zowel in hardware als software vorm. Benieuwd?  Boek een proefles!

Muziek software en Ableton Live

De technologie verbetert iedere dag en integreert in het creatieve proces van live uitvoeringen op het podium of het maken van muziek thuis. Mijn lessen bieden inzicht in de creatieve mogelijkheden van Ableton Live. Je leert hoe je dit gebruikt als software voor opnames of als een krachtig effect als loop en sample unit. De lessen met Ableton kunnen gecombineerd of onafhankelijk van de gitaarlessen worden gevolgd.

Over Michalis

Michalis Michailidis is een Griekse gitarist en muziekproducent gevestigd in Rotterdam. Op jonge leeftijd toonde Michalis al veel talent voor muziek. Hij ontving al snel lessen van verschillende erkende lokale muzikanten. Na zijn afstuderen aan de Moderne Muziekschool van Thessaloniki (2007-2011) verhuisde hij naar Nederland en voltooide zijn Bachelor Jazz Gitaar aan het Conservatorium Maastricht (2011-2015) en zijn Master of Music aan Codarts, Rotterdam (2016- 2018). Michalis is regelmatig te horen op podia en festivals over de hele wereld, met verschillende bands en muziekstijlen. Hij heeft zijn eigen muziekproductie- en onderwijsstudio in Rotterdam.

I Enjoy The Lessons!

I personally started taking guitar classes after a long period of stopping and I must say I really enjoy it. First, because the lessons are really adapted to the level in which we restart, which is really what I needed. Second because from there we build up techniques/music knowledge, and feels amazing realisation to translate progression into mastering a song. Great teacher!

After not playing guitar for 10 years I picked up the guitar again. After getting frustrated about youtube videos(too easy or too hard) I started my lessons with Michalis. He really takes the time for you and always comes with new ideas on how to improve your playing. He listens to you and can quickly adapt to answer all your questions in an understandable way. Very professional!

When it comes to a supportive teacher, Michalis meets all the standards. He is calm, patient and adaptive to the students needs. He is very professional, which we can see from the quick progress that our son Alex is making. Really fun!

I signed up for lessons with Michalis because I needed some structure and direction in starting with an electric guitar (after a few not-so-successful weeks of trying to self-teach myself through youtube). We first had a trial lesson where we discussed what my goals were and what is the best way to approach the lessons. Over the 10 lessons, we explored different strumming patterns, music genres (punk rock, blues, funk etc.), practiced improving the rhythm and learned how to play a few songs - the solos and chords that seemed "crazy" at first but turned out to be doable thanks to Michalis breaking them down, giving feedback, and being patient with my countless attempts. Along the way, he explained some music theory and answered all the questions in a very approachable way. To sum up, the course was really fun and useful and I now feel much more confident in playing the instrument.
