Tango Piano!

I had a wonderful series of piano lessons with Aleksandra. I've been playing for a while but always on the lookout for expanding my musical horizons and improvement of playing. And yes, playing the piano has become so much better and secure. We've been working on technical aspects but also extensively on a Mozart sonata and exploring the world of "Tango Piano" which was new to me but so much fun to discover! Amazing Experience!

I had an amazing experience receiving lessons from Aleksandra! She focused on really understanding the music - why a score was written in a certain way, why you played notes on the piano the way you did etc.- which inculcated in me a long lasting love for the piano. New and refreshing!

The lessons with Aleksandra are a great pleasure. At one hand her classes are intense, because her focus is sharp en she learns me to focus the way she does, at the other hand she is always cheerful so that helps. The way she explains things is very clear. After playing the piano already for a long time, mostly improvising,  I ‘relearn’ things in a new an refreshing way that helps me to discover a new approach in playing music. Echt leren drummen!

Jean-Clair leert je écht drummen. Niet zomaar een half uurtje wat slaan, maar langere lessen waarin hij alle tijd neemt om je te leren hoe je alles uit je stokken kunt halen en ook hoe je dat zelf steeds meer kunt gaan horen. Je leert de oefeningen en ritmes op een heel degelijke manier, maar er is ook altijd ruimte om je favoriete nummers of verschillende muziekgenres (rock, blues, reggae, jazz) te leren spelen én waarderen :-) Ik heb in drummen niet alleen een geweldige rust en hobby gevonden, maar ik blijf me dankzij Jean-Clair ook ontwikkelen en ik leer iedere keer weer meer met veel plezier.

Great Drum Teacher!

I started taking lessons with Jean-Clair in February of 2020. I feel like he has helped me improve my skills and knowledge of the drums greatly. Jean-Clair has helped me not only play and learn new songs, but he has spotted specific things in my technique. He has pointed this out when we are practicing and I enjoy the lessons where we spend a lot of time improving my techniques. Gave bijspijkercursus!!

Na 20 jaar spelen en les geven als popdrummer vond ik het eens tijd voor een bijspijkercursus. Gaaf om les te krijgen van een collega die met twee benen midden in de jazzscene staat en zelf ook een paar keer per week staat op te treden. Dat is te merken, omdat zelfs theoretische techniekoefeningen een leuke muzikale context krijgen. Ik heb me altijd een tikkeltje onbeholpen gevoeld om zomaar, zonder drumstel, op een stoel tegenover een cymbal te gaan zitten. Dat rockt toch voor geen meter? Maar zelfs dat begin ik nu dus leuk te vinden. Ik weet nog niet of mijn rock & roll vrienden dat ook een goeie ontwikkeling vinden, maar het blijkt overal goed voor te zijn. Dit soort dingen kun je alleen leren van iemand die weet waar hij het over heeft.

I have had Imanol as a piano teacher for nearly a year. He is extremely patient and friendly, puts you at ease. I have never played an instrument before so have learnt to read the music too. Frederic is een hele goede leraar. Ik heb veel pianodocenten gehad, en Frederic  steekt er voor mij met kop en schouders bovenuit. Hij weet veel van muziek, van componisten en kan prachtig spelen, maar vooral kan hij je goed helpen om effectief (en met plezier) te studeren. Very flexible teacher!

Frederic has been my piano teacher since 1992 and the fact that I have known him for more than 25 years in this capacity means that I greatly appreciate his way of teaching.
What is also special is that he is able and willing to be very flexible with his lessons. Because I live in two countries, I get a two hour lesson instead of one, In this way I can take enough lesson material with me when I go abroad, I can keep on practising and the continuation of my piano playing is being secured.

Vrijwel kansloos?

Twee jaar geleden ben ik op mijn vierenzestigste met pianolessen bij Frederic begonnen, op aanbeveling van een goede vriendin. Van verschillende kanten had ik te horen gekregen dat het leren van pianospelen op mijn leeftijd een vrijwel kansloze onderneming zou zijn. Daarbij kwam dat ik dacht dat Frederic, zelf een begaafd uitvoerend  pianist en componist, wel meer geïnteresseerd zou zijn in het lesgeven aan meer (ver-)gevorderde pianisten dan aan beginners zoals ik. Die vrees bleek ongegrond: Frederic's enthousiasme en gedrevenheid hebben ertoe geleid dat ik best goede vorderingen heb gemaakt in die tijd. Ik heb inmiddels met al aardig wat klassieke componisten kennisgemaakt, van wie ik weliswaar niet heel omvangrijke, maar wel mooie stukjes kan spelen. Frederic's onverstoorbaarheid met betrekking tot mijn, zeg maar “ leerproces” heeft er in belangrijke mate toe bijgedragen dat ik niet ontmoedigd ben geraakt en met veel plezier dagelijks oefen. Hij geeft helder en overtuigend aanwijzingen, zodat het altijd wel lukt om iets moeilijks tenslotte toch de baas te worden.
Frederic is ook gul in het overdragen van zijn  indrukwekkende kennis over muziek, muziekinstrumenten, muziekgeschiedenis, componisten, achtergronden en anekdotes , wat mij betreft een zeer welkome “bijkomstigheid”.  Kortom:  zo leer je nog eens wat!!!!

Impossible endeavor?

Two years ago, when I was 64, I started having my first piano lessons with Frederic. He was recommended to me by a good friend. Several people had told me that starting to learn to play the piano at my age would be an almost impossible endeavor. And then I also figured that Frederic, himself a gifted concert pianist and composer, would probably be more interested in teaching more advanced students than a beginner like me. But this was not the case at all: Frederic's enthusiasm and passion have helped me to make considerable progress since I started playing the piano. In these two years I have become acquainted with several classical composers who's easier pieces I am now able to play. Frederic's serenity in dealing with my learning process has greatly contributed to the pleasure in my daily practicing the piano. He gives clear and convincing instructions that help me to overcome all difficulties.
Frederic is also very generous in sharing his great knowledge of music, musical instruments, music history, composers and anecdotes. All of this I find very welcome and useful background information. In short: a great learning experience!!! Chris Folkers

Al meer dan 25 jaar!

Sinds 1992 is Frederic mijn pianoleraar, en het feit dat hij dat dus al meer dan 25 jaar is bewijst dat ik zijn manier van lesgeven hogelijk waardeer.
Bijzonder is ook dat hij de momenten van lesgeven aanpast aan mijn agenda. Nieuwe afspraken maken we steeds tijdens de les, en omdat ik in twee landen leef, krijg ik twee uur achter elkaar les. Daardoor kan ik voldoende lesmateriaal meenemen naar elders, waar ik ook een piano heb, om de afwezigheidsperioden tussen de lessen bij hem te overbruggen.

I Enjoy The Lessons!

I personally started taking guitar classes after a long period of stopping and I must say I really enjoy it. Really fun!

I signed up for lessons with Michalis because I needed some structure and direction in starting with an electric guitar (after a few not-so-successful weeks of trying to self-teach myself through youtube). We first had a trial lesson where we discussed what my goals were and what is the best way to approach the lessons. Over the 10 lessons, we explored different strumming patterns, music genres (punk rock, blues, funk etc.), practiced improving the rhythm and learned how to play a few songs - the solos and chords that seemed "crazy" at first but turned out to be doable thanks to Michalis breaking them down, giving feedback, and being patient with my countless attempts. Along the way, he explained some music theory and answered all the questions in a very approachable way. To sum up, the course was really fun and useful and I now feel much more confident in playing the instrument.

I already had violin lessons for years when I was little, but stopped during my studies at university. After university I wanted to start again, to get the feeling back of playing the violin and try to become a bit better at it. Giorgos helped me to get back at it and to improve it. Giorgos is aardig. Hij geeft op een ontspannen manier les waardoor het les krijgen echt leuk is. Hij is helemaal niet streng en hij maakt veel grapjes tussendoor. Hij heeft geduld en geeft je de tijd om wat voor mij moeilijk is goed onder de knie te krijgen. Ik kijk er iedere week weer naar uit om naar zijn lessen te gaan!

Met sprongen vooruit!

Zes maanden geleden ben ik als volwassen beginner gestart bij Berta. Sinds ik bij Berta les heb merk ik dat mijn spelen met sprongen vooruit gaat.  Na twee maanden waren mijn vaardigheden al meer verbeterd dan in de voorafgaande zes maanden bij een andere docent. Met hele simpele aanwijzingen zorgt ze ervoor dat je toon en strijktechniek direct verbeterd. Technische oefeningen worden afgewisseld met het spelen van uitdagende stukken. Zo mocht ik na twee maanden al aan mijn eerste concerto beginnen! Ze motiveert me echt om het beste uit mezelf te halen en ik ga elke week met veel plezier naar mijn lessen. Ik kan niet anders dan zeggen dat ik echt ontzettend blij ben met Berta als viooldocent.

Six months ago, I started with Berta as an adult beginner. Since then, I have improved and have actually progressed more in my first two months with Berta than in the six months prior while being taught by a different teacher.  Using simple instructions she manages to immediately improve your bowing technique and also your sound. Technical exercises are combined with challenging pieces to ensure progress is combined with fun. After only two months I was already playing my first concerto. Berta really motivates you to get the best out of yourself and every week I thoroughly enjoy my lessons. There really is no other way to state it than to say that I am extremely happy with Berta as my violin teacher.

When I started my saxophone class with Jeroen, I had a very beginner level knowledge about it although I previously had couple of online classes for past 2 years. I've been taking piano lessons with Jabiz for the past year and I've been having so much fun! It's been my childhood dream to learn to play piano. Starting at the age of 32 was a bit scary but learning piano with Jabiz has been so rewarding. Her kind and patient approach and her cheerful personality allows me to obtain and grow my piano skills and it has made me feel more confident when playing. In the lessons, she combines standard adult piano learning books, technical exercises and additional pieces, which are fun to play, sound good and are appropriate for my level. And all of that is happening in my living room, which means I do not have to spend extra time on traveling to and from the lessons. For many years..

For many years Erwin taught me bass guitar. Because of my work and other circumstances, there’s alternating periods in which I can spend more time or less time on having bass guitar lessons. Hierdoor heb je een solide basis, van waaruit je verder kunt ontwikkelen. Dit vind ik, als beginnende basgitarist, erg fijn. Nu 10 lessen gehad bij Erwin en het is heel goed bevallen. Ondanks dat ik al enige ervaring had, heb ik nu pas het idee dat ik ook daadwerkelijk wat begrijp van wat ik speel. Ik kan zeggen dat in 10 lessen mijn basspel veel meer verbeterd is dan de afgelopen paar jaar zonder les.
Heel veel praktische oefeningen en tips gehad en ook een gedegen theoretische onderbouwing die duidelijk uitgelegd wordt. Erwin heeft ook veel kennis van apparatuur en alles om het muziekmaken heen, wat elke les weer enorm leerzaam maakt. Daarbij is hij ook nog eens een goede coach (wat de lessen extra leuk maakt en het nog meer stimuleert om thuis vaak de bas in handen te nemen). Tarieven zijn vergelijkbaar met andere bas- en gitaardocenten.

Meteen overstag!

Na lang te hebben getwijfeld uiteindelijk op mijn 45ste toch besloten dat ik de basgitaar wilde leren bespelen. Het instrument intrigeerde mij al lange tijd, maar mijn muzikale kennis was nihil. Na een proefles bij Erwin ging ik meteen overstag. Erwin is erg inspirerend en motiverend. Verwacht niet dat hij je van A tot Z bij de hand neemt. Hij stelt heel gerichte vragen en laat je veel zelf ontdekken. Na negen lessen en veel oefenen ben ik al verder gekomen dan ik ooit had durven denken. De lessen zijn elke keer een feestje en leveren een hoop kennis op. Erwin is naast een uitstekende docent ook een prettige kerel. Niet langer twijfelen dus, maar snel die proefles regelen!

Lessen bij Erwin is altijd gezellig, ontspannen, je ontwikkelt je op je eigen tempo, maar wordt altijd positief gestimuleerd door Erwin. Inspirerende basles!

De lessen bij Erwin zijn super inspirerend! Zelf bas ik al een ruime tijd en heb ik in meerdere bands gespeeld. Maar ik merkte dat ik in sommige dingen vastliep. Dus ik besloot om weer eens na lange tijd basles te nemen. Erwin voelt goed aan waar de pijnpuntjes zitten en heeft goeie vakkennis om daar dieper op in te gaan, zodat je echt resultaat ziet! J'ai pris des cours avec Elsa pendant l'anéee 2022/2023. J'ai assisté à son cours avec plaisir. Son jeune âge était rafraîchissant et c'est l'une des principales raisons pour lesquelles je l'ai choisie comme professeur. A chaque leçon, elle était tres enthousiaste. J'avais déjà joue du violoncelle quand j'étais petite et pendant ce temps, j'avais qu'un seul professeur. An amazing experience!

Studying clarinet through the Vivaldi school was an amazing experience! With my teacher, Giulia, I got to work on technique such as breathing and scales as well as playing small pieces. I also had the opportunity to learn to play with someone else (by playing duets) which was lovely and so valuable. Giulia is very kind, patient and passionate so I always loved going to clarinet lessons. The Vivaldi school is also great as it allows for so much flexibility in scheduling the classes. Definitely recommend studying clarinet whatever level with Giulia, to be challenged, make progress or simply have fun.

After many years not having played the clarinet I started again. Found Giulia via this website and love every lesson as I learn a lot about the instrument, get more confidence playing and have fun.
Giulia has a lot of knowledge about the instrument and about music in general. She really looks at you as a student and tries to find the best methods to help you make progress (even if you have dyslexia). She gave me advise on a new clarinet with which I'm very happy and which suits me well. Giulia has a lot of very nice music pieces to play but is also open to your musical input, which keeps you engaged and help you explore music.

Kristen is an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher! Already having played the silver flute for a long time, I decided to pick up the baroque flute two years ago. Kristen helped me buy a flute and through her lessons I quickly became confident on this new instrument. Her clear love for baroque music and period instruments has opened up a new world for me, exploring the many different styles of baroque (from early French to late German/Austrian). During her lessons we often play together, from which I learn a lot through imitation, but we also talk about the background of different pieces, ornamentations, etc, which helps me understand the music better.

Ze ziet jou echt...

Als klein meisje speelde ik, natuurlijk zoals zoveel andere meisje blokfluit, en toen ik wat groter was altfluit en daarna ben ik dwarsfluit gaan spelen, van mijn tiende tot en met mijn dertiende. Toen overleed mijn moeder en stopten er veel dingen in mijn leven, omdat het verdriet zoveel ruimte in nam. Nu 22 jaar later, een volwassen leven verder,  dacht ik ja, ik ga dat weer proberen, muziek spelen, een instrument bespelen is zo mooi,  en het is zo'n fijne en rustgevende bezigheid. Voor mijn brein, voor mijn lijf, voor mijn gemoedsrust. Dus ik zocht een fijne dwarsfluit docente bij mij in de buurt. Kristen sprong er uit met haar vriendelijke tekst. Een mailtje was gauw verstuurd. Een nog vriendelijker mail kreeg ik terug. De eerste afspraak voor een proefles was gemaakt en was echt een cadeautje.  Ik voelde me meteen op mijn gemak door Kristen haar gastvrijheid en fijne huis en muziekkamer. Kristen is lief, warm, fijn, geduldig, professioneel en buiten dat ook een fantastische fluitiste. Ze weet wat voor jou een goede oefening is en hoe je die oefeningen het beste thuis kunt doen. Ze ziet jou echt. En als laatste....ze is ook bijzonder gezellig om gewoon mee te kletsen over het leven en de liefde. Wat net zo belangrijk is. ;) Ik zou haar iedereen aanraden.

Verliefd op de traverso!

Kristen is heel enthousiast en inspirerend! Ik kwam bij haar om traverso te leren spelen (ik speelde al een tijd dwarsfluit), zij hielp mij om een traverso te kopen en heeft mij snel wegwijs gemaakt op dit nieuwe instrument. Door haar lessen heb ik kennis gemaakt met de diversiteit van de barokmuziek, en heb ik ontdekt hoe mooi het eigen karakter van een barokinstrument kan zijn. De lessen zijn altijd heel gezellig en leerzaam. We spelen veel samen, maar praten ook over de achtergrond van de muziek, de verschillende versieringen in de barokmuziek, etc, waardoor je de muziek die je speelt beter gaat begrijpen.

Ik vind het fantastisch!

Sinds enkele maanden heb ik dwarsfluitles van Kristen Huebner. Ik vind het fantastisch om les te krijgen van haar, ze is heel enthousiast en een goede lerares! Ik leer heel veel over het spelen van barokmuziek en over fluittechniek. Het is heel inspirerend en misschien ga ik ook de traverso spelen. Patient and honest Piano Teacher

Golden Touch

After ten years, my Russian teacher at Leiden stopped teaching. I was dreading the search for a new teacher in the Hague region, because in those ten years I had learned more than in all those years before. In the end, you need a teacher to keep you motivated and to study every day to master another beautiful piece.The Internet is not always my favourite search place, but I got a good suggestion to take a look at: Vivaldi Music Lessons, and that turned out to be a golden touch. That is how I came to Carla.

With this attitude I came to Carla for lessons. In short, with high expectations and my previous teacher as reference material. The first lesson, an introductory lesson, was more of a test if you feel comfortable with him/her and whether there was a match from both sides, because you want to be eager to listen to you teacher and on the other hand, you have to be motivated as a student to study well. In the end playing the cello is a serious business.She asked me to bring the music that was on my desk. So what I was studying at my last lesson with my previous teacher. That was a nice starting point and you didn't have the feeling that you had to deliver a top performance, because after all it was the piece you were learning with all the doubts and questions and difficulties still in it and which you certainly hadn't mastered yet. This is how I came to the lesson.

The structure of the lesson is usually technique (left hand, right hand) and musicality (how do you approach phrasing and what do you think when there are dilemmas or tackle high positions and guard the purity. In short, very similar to how I had lessons before and I always have the feeling that I am making progress. Sometimes I doubted myself and asked her if I would ever be able to master the piece. Yes... ...I'm doing just fine, she said. And she is right. Sometimes I take pieces to lessons that I have to play in an amateur orchestra and it's nice to get professional help to master those parts as well. What I'm still looking for is to play with someone occasionally.

Gouden Greep!

Na tien jaar stopte mijn Russische docente in Leiden ermee. Ik zag op tegen het zoeken naar een nieuwe docent in de regio Den Haag want in die tien jaar had ik meer geleerd dan in al die jaren ervoor. Uiteindelijk moet je toch een docent hebben om zowel gemotiveerd te blijven en om elke dag te studeren aan weer een prachtig stuk om onder de knie te krijgen.
Internet is niet altijd mij favoriete zoekplek, maar via via kreeg ik een goede tip om te gaan kijken naar: Vivaldi Music Lessons, en dat bleek een gouden greep. Zo kwam ik bij Carla terecht.

Met deze instelling kwam ik bij Carla om les te krijgen. Kortom met hoge verwachtingen en mijn vorige docent als vergelijkingsmateriaal. De eerste les, een kennismakingsles, was meer om te proeven hoe de docent bevalt en of er van beide kanten een match is want een docent moet je wel graag naar willen luisteren en als leerling moet je goed studeren. Cello spelen is een serieuze zaak. Ze vroeg me om de muziek die op mijn lessenaar lag, mee te nemen. Dus wat ik als laatste op les bij mijn vorige docent aan het studeren was. Dat was een fijn uitgangspunt en heb je niet het gevoel dat je een topprestatie moet leveren, want het was immers het stuk dat je aan het leren was met alle twijfels en vraagstukken en moeilijkheden er nog in en die je dan nog zeker niet meester bent. Zo kwam ik naar de les.

De structuur van de les is meestal techniek (linker hand, rechterhand) en muzikaliteit (hoe pak je de frasering aan en wat vind je zelf als er dilemma's zijn). Maar vooral hoe je al die facetten van het cellospel studeert. Dus hoe je lastige vingerzettingen studeert of hoge posities aanpakt en de zuiverheid bewaakt. Kortom heel vergelijkbaar met hoe ik hiervoor heb les gehad en steeds het gevoel krijg dat ik verder kom. Soms twijfelde ik aan mezelf en vroeg haar op de man of ik het stuk wel ooit onder de knie zou krijgen, want ik moest op mijn tenen lopen. Ja... hoor... dat gaat prima lukken. En ze heeft gelijk.
Een enkele keer neem ik stukken mee naar les die ik moet spelen in een amateur orkest en ook dat is fijn om dat op les te bekijken en goede adviezen over te krijgen. Waar ik nog naar zoek is om een enkele keer met iemand samen te spelen.

Celloles bij Wouter Mijnders is een muzikaal en intellectueel avontuur. Elke keer ga ik met veel plezier naar zijn les en kom - zowaar - met nog meer plezier terug van zijn les. En ben bovendien supergeïnspireerd. Wouter voelt precies aan wat een leerling nodig heeft om verder te komen. Soms zijn dat verhalen en voorbeelden, bijvoorbeeld over klank of  interpretatie. Soms door (nog) beter inzicht te geven in techniek. En soms simpelweg door de focus te verleggen.

Verrijking en avontuur

Het meest wezenlijke dat ik tijdens de cellolessen bij Wouter Mijnders ervaar, is om achter de noten muziek te verbeelden en laten horen. Niet dat dat al lukt na 18 lessen. Wél krijg ik handreikingen tijdens de lessen die me op weg helpen en vertrouwen geven het leerproces aan te gaan. Handreikingen in de vorm van beeldtaal, voorspelen, luisteren, kijken, nadoen en durven spelen, moedigen me aan. Eigen hoge verwachtingen mag ik laten varen. Ik ervaar ruimte tijdens de cellolessen, om niet sneller te hoeven dan ik kan. Zo ga ik toch stapje voor stapje vooruit en word soms ineens blij verrast door een mooie (samen)klank tijdens de les. Het verlangen en plezier in muziek maken staat centraal.
Tussen de lessen door verwonder ik me erover hoe het leerproces van spelen als een spiegel voor me is en samenhangt met hoe in het leven te willen staan. De cellolessen bij Wouter ervaar ik als een verrijking en avontuur.

Uitdagend en motiverend!

Dankzij Wouter heb ik mijn liefde voor het cello spelen weer teruggevonden. Na 16 jaar niet te hebben gespeeld, ben ik begonnen met lessen bij Wouter. In een ongedwongen en gezellige sfeer, zocht hij naar wat ik nodig had en paste de lessen daarop aan. Afhankelijk van je doel, bepaalt Wouter op een prettige manier het lesmateriaal en de wijze waarop je cello leert spelen. De lessen zijn ontspannen en gezellig, maar tegelijk is Wouter kritisch en een geweldige cellist. Zijn ervaring en liefde voor het vak zijn duidelijk aanwezig in de lessen, waardoor je als student uitgedaagd wordt en gemotiveerd raakt om er het beste uit te halen. Naast de lessen heeft Wouter mij ook begeleid in het vinden van een geweldige nieuwe cello. Hierdoor heeft het spelen voor mij een nieuwe dimensie gekregen en dankzij de persoonlijke lessen kan ik verder groeien als cellist.

Gevoel en muziek!

Wouter is een enorm goede cellist en een hele leuke leraar! Zelfs als je nog een beginner bent, leert en stimuleert hij je al om je eigen gevoel en interpretatie mee te geven aan de muziek.
Als ik worstel met de techniek weet hij telkens weer een metafoor te verzinnen die aansluit bij mijn belevingswereld (“Dat doe je toch ook niet als je op je motor rijdt?!”) en me doet begrijpen én onthouden wat en hoe ik kan verbeteren. Daarnaast is Wouter ook gewoon een geweldig mooi mens. Er is altijd tijd voor een cappuccino en ongemerkt coacht hij je op veel meer dingen dan alleen de cello. Panagiotis heeft een heel goed gevoel voor hoe iemand moet ontwikkelen in zijn of haar spel en weet je altijd uit te dagen om je verder te ontwikkelen. Theory and Nuances of Jazz Guitar

I have been following lessons with Panagiotis since september 2020 and it's been great. I've played guitar for quite a while now, but have been wanting to get into jazz guitar a lot more. Panagiotis has a lot of knowledge about both music theory as well as putting feeling/emotion into your playing. Above Expectations!

The kids were interested to learn to play music instrument and we have tried classic piano lessons. Lessons were boring and kids didn't want to attend any longer. We decided to try drum lessons with Konstantin it was above expectations. The lesson was interactive, presented with kids mind and it were not just drums. The kids also get to learn marimba which has note structure the same as on the piano. After few months kids also learned some body tapping. Ik heb nu een klein jaar les bij Luís Rabello en heb de lessen tot nu toe heel inspirerend gevonden. In zijn lessen komen alle belangrijke thema´s binnen het pianospel aan bod: techniek, expressie en (het allerbelangrijkst) visie op het grotere geheel. Hij helpt je om je interpretatie en overdracht zo sterk mogelijk te maken en werkt hierbij heel gedetailleerd en met meerdere lagen. Dit werkt zeer inspirerend en enthousiasmerend waardoor je na de lessen telkens weer meer zin hebt om je te verdiepen in een stuk. Na 16 jaar piano spelen kom ik erachter dat er nog zo veel meer te leren valt! In de relatief korte tijd dat ik les heb gehad is mijn spel al veel vooruit gegaan en hoop dus nog lang les van hem te mogen hebben!

Perfect Teacher!

Since I came to the Netherlands in 2017, I started to learn violin with Tomasz. Although I have been playing modern violin for fifteen years, Tomasz is the most special teacher I have ever met, and also the enlightenment teacher of my Baroque violin. I still remember the first lesson we started learning Bach's chaconne, rather than only focusing on technique improvement, he first taught me lots of basic knowledge on baroque music form and specifically in this piece: what is chaconne, what is the basso continuo and melody line in this piece, how to play the chords in a correct and historical way, etc. He also demonstrated on his baroque violin and that open me up a totally new world: a warmer, more active, and full of emotion and vitality voice that I have never heard before. Now I have already switch to baroque violin and started from zero, with the detailed and patient help by Tomasz. Sometimes he combined the baroque violin playing with history background, visualized the music style by painting, or other beautiful metaphors. He is a passionate and perfectionist musician and teacher. He said that playing the violin is like making a sculpture. Only crafted with great care and precision can complete a piece of artwork. All in all, Tomasz's violin lessons have benefited me a lot from both playing technique and musicianship.

Superleraar! Ik heb nu een paar maanden les en Gabriel heeft de gave om dit prachtige, maar complexe instrument op een hele leuke en toegankelijke manier uit te leggen. Door eerst de basis goed eigen te maken en elk onderdeel van het spelen op te breken in kleine stapjes, om vervolgens alles samen te voegen tot een geheel, maakt hij het makkelijker om het te leren. No more sore throat!

When I had my first singing lesson with Isabel I couldn't get out more than three songs before getting a sore throat. It's funny how when I tried it again yesterday, after 10 lessons, I didn't even break a sweat singing the same song, and the high notes aren't really that high anymore!  I can see Isabel is very passionate about what she is doing; the music, the singing, the teaching and it works great for me.

I am impressed!

One week ago I had my first lesson with Isabel and although I already admired her for her singing skills, I did not know how she was as a teacher. I was impressed on how she helped me to bring one of my own songs to "the next level". I went to our coaching session thinking that my voice was flat, with no expression, and that my song was starting to become boring because of that. After the coaching with Isabel I have been applying all the advice she gave me to improve the interpretation of the song and woah, I am impressed. Feeling and Technique!

Isabel combines feeling with technique in her teaching. She is always excited and provides a fun atmosphere to learn in. While she is methodical and very knowledgeable, she does not push you into singing 'by the book', but rather helps you find your own voice and strengths. Wanting to get into jazz guitar

I have been following lessons with Panagiotis since september 2020 and it's been great. I've played guitar for quite a while now, but have been wanting to get into jazz guitar a lot more. Panagiotis has a lot of knowledge about both music theory as well as putting feeling/emotion into your playing. Also, his way of teaching is very easygoing with plenty of room for conversation and students' own contributions, so it has helped me a lot to become even more comfortable with my instrument as well as to understand the underlying theory and nuances of jazz guitar. Would definitely recommend him as a guitar teacher!

Inspirational Piano Teacher

Laurie is a friendly, inspirational and insightful teacher who has been teaching piano to my 9 yr old son for the past 2 years. After losing some interest when a previous teacher left Laurie remarkably transformed my sons interest and guided him through a great pass in Grade 1.  He is very patient and clearly understands how challenging it can be for a beginner, offering useful insights and interesting new pieces to help support my sons learning and keep him motivated. When I asked my son what he likes best about Laurie he said that he liked the fact that Laurie was kind and structured the lessons so he learned a lot but had a lot of fun at the same time,  especially when they learned pop songs together!

Op de fiets onderweg naar zangles van Erik Slik was ik altijd vrolijk mijn stembanden al aan het opwarmen. Op de terugweg nog vrolijker en nog steeds aan het zingen, nieuwe technieken aan het oefenen. Erik heeft een talent om je op jouw gemak te laten voelen, goed aan te sluiten op jouw niveau en wat er nodig is om vooruit te komen. Erik stelde mij altijd gerust als ik onzeker was met zijn engelengeduld. Erik straalt als hij les geeft en elke muziekgenre is mogelijk. Tijdens de lessen merkte ik een grote passie voor het muzikale vak bij Erik, een echte professional. Ik kan niks anders dan positief zijn over de zanglessen van Erik. I (age 54) started playing the cello 3 years ago without any previous knowledge (notes and instruments). Paulo is my second teacher. By improving the basics (bowing, finger position etc.), my playing became much better. His tip to sing notes has also developed my ear (correct tone). The lessons are very entertaining, he exaggerates "misbehaviour" wonderfully and so I have been able to learn a lot from him.

Never Too Old!

Trumpet lessons with Laurie have literally changed my life. I am a "come-back" player returning to the instrument after a lapse of some 50 years, and also very old! I was very apprehensive about taking up the instrument again, but longed to do so, finally plucking up the courage to start again, with the encouragement of my wife. Laurie has embraced "my music" - traditional jazz - which is not his main genre or forte, so there is something of a mutual exchange of knowledge.

He has introduced me to stimulating practice pieces that I never had opportunity to use when I first learned. He has induced a discipline and regime which is not only pleasurable but is precisely tailored to my abilities and age.  He has great patience and is full of encouragement. I have been learning again for some 10 months now, and am managing to play many pieces from the repertoire of my old Jazz Band - still a long way to go - and getting through the exercises, as well as theory, which I missed or had forgotten all those years ago.  My embouchure and sight reading are becoming more developed and improved weekly.

Having the opportunity to learn from a master, with practical demonstration and example, is something I never had previously experienced; it makes a huge difference.  Laurie's versatility and range of trumpet technique, ability and empathy for the student is, I believe, a rarity. I am ALMOST feeling confident enough to try sitting in with a band again.... Cannot recommend him highly enough.

When I was looking to play Saxophone as a beginner I found Vivaldi Music Lessons. When reading about Andrius (distinguishments) and the way he conducts his lessons this appealed to me directly. The first impression counts! When booking my first lesson he was very responsive and flexible when planning it. What can I say : I started 55 years too late to learn how to play the bass guitar, so much fun. At the age of 65 my children fulfilled a long time wish of me : learning how to play bass guitar. They found Luciano Poli at Vivaldi Music Lessons to help me. Our first appointment was very pleasant and Luciano took his time to do a good inventory of my skills and knowledge of music. ( which was zero ) We started from scratch with a lot of patience, explanation and showing how to do the basic handling of the guitar. Luciano is a good teacher and one who understands his pupil. I can certainly advise him if you are a beginner with zero experience and in need for a teacher who really helps you in keeping fun playing with the bass guitar.

Als gloednieuwe viool student heb ik bij Zdenka Prochazkova voor het eerst met regelmaat een instrument vastgehouden. Ze heeft me in een korte periode van zo een zes maanden door veel van de basis heen geloodst. Omdat we nu samen werken aan diverse oefeningen en kleine liedjes kan ik goed mijn eigen vooruitgang zien. Lessen worden aangepast aan mijn eigen leertempo en aan welke muziek mij aanspreekt. Ze is tijdens de lessen altijd vrolijk en kan ontzettend goed viool spelen, wat voor mij als student enorm motiverend werkt. Ik geniet van iedere les!

Na jaren niet meer te hebben gespeeld heb ik de klarinet weer opgepakt. Via deze website vond ik Giulia en geniet ik van iedere les waarin ik veel leer over het instrument, meer zelfvertrouwen krijg in het spelen en plezier beleef. Giulia heeft veel kennis van het instrument en van muziek. Ze heeft oog voor de student en bekijkt wat de student nodig heeft en past daar haar les op aan (ook als je dyslexie hebt). Bijzonder inspirerende docente!

Het was al een tijdje mijn wens om chalumeau te gaan spelen en na het lezen van het interview dat Giulia gaf in vakblad "de klarinet" over de chalumeau heb ik contact met haar opgenomen en sindsdien laat ik mij door haar coachen. Giulia is een bijzonder inspirerende docente. Haar liefde en enthousiasme voor de chalumeau heeft een wereld voor mij geopend, zij weet zoveel van de muzikale achtergronden van dit bijzondere instrument en van de barokmuziek in het algemeen en weet dit ook heel goed over te brengen, heel motiverend! Bovendien speelt zij zelf zo mooi op dit instrument waardoor het een genot is om met haar samen te spelen om zo de bijzondere kwaliteiten van dit instrument te ontdekken en eigen te maken. Daarbij geeft ze veel goede tips en adviezen waardoor je meteen verschil hoort en voelt. Tijdens de lessen hebben we het ook veel over de achtergrond van de verschillende werken, hetgeen erg helpt om de muziek beter te begrijpen en daardoor ook beter te spelen. Giulia is kundig, betrokken en relaxed hetgeen altijd zorgt voor een positieve sfeer.

After many years not having played the clarinet I started again. Klarinetles op maat!

Na 50 jaar wilde ik weer klarinet gaan spelen. Op de lagere school en in mijn tienerjaren heb ik dat met veel plezier gedaan. Een nieuwe klarinet gekocht en na wat omzwervingen en googelen vond ik Marco Danesi. Vanwege de coronamaatregelen hebben we elkaar nog nooit in levende lijve ontmoet. Sinds een jaar heb ik digitaal les van hem. Hoewel live les misschien beter is vind ik dat Marco ongelooflijk goed in staat is om ook digitaal les te geven. Alle afspraken gaan altijd door en het maakt niet uit waar we zijn. De lessen gaan in een relaxte sfeer. Elke les is voor mij iets waar ik naar uit zie!  Hij doet er alles aan om mij te stimuleren (ik zou graag samen spelen op termijn) en te enthousiasmeren. Daarbij is hij heel kundig, ook didactisch, waardoor ik me elke keer weer uitgedaagd voel om mijn technieken te ontwikkelen en tegelijkertijd ook om muzikaal beter te gaan spelen. Overigens speelt hij zelf prachtig klarinet. Ik heb hem daarom ook al bij een aantal vrienden aanbevolen.

In eerste instantie had ik Marco in zijn Duo Ebano horen spelen en ik was verrast over zijn veelzijdigheid. Zowel het romantische als het hedendaagse repertoire speelt hij schitterend.In de basklarinetlessen krijg ik op enthousiaste wijze feedback op houding en techniek. Door zijn directe manier van reageren heeft dat voor mij meteen effect. En passant vertelt hij veel over de speelwijze en de frasering. Ephraim van IJzerlooij is een geweldig muzikale en inspirerende docent. Hij speelt zelf prachtig, wat op zich al een cadeau is, en hij leert je hoe je ontspannen een mooie klank uit jouw cello krijgt. Hoewel je iedere les stof op krijgt die je dan oefent, kan hij die stof ook loslaten want hij speelt in eerste instantie heel erg goed in op jou. Zo helpt hij je om de techniek spelenderwijs onder de knie te krijgen. De ontspanning en muzikaliteit daardoor niet alleen terug te vinden in zijn spel maar ook in zijn lessen. Het is iedere keer een verrijking en daarmee een stimulans om zelf te oefenen en te spelen. Dus niet alleen zijn spel maar ook zijn lessen zijn een groot cadeau.

Petronella Palm is oprecht een van de beste zanglesdocenten in de wijde omgeving. Niet alleen is haar technische training uitmuntend, maar ook de aandacht voor alle facetten van het zingen en optreden maken haar lessen een volledige opleiding. Daarbij is mijn ervaring dat haar eigen internationale zangcarriere echt een gedegen basis geeft voor de lessen. Ik ben vele jaren geleden begonnen bij Petronella en heb iedere les daarvan genoten. Niet alleen haar aanhoudende inzet voor de technische onderdelen, maar ook de aandacht voor het plezier in zingen maken het een ervaring die nooit verveelt. De lessen  zijn op niveau en groeien mee, waarbij je enerzijds wordt uitgedaagd met technische stukken en anderzijds altijd ruimte is voor eigen inbreng en muziekkeuze. Bovendien is voor mij een van de belangrijkste pluspunten van Petronella haar aanhoudende streven naar perfectie, zonder dat daardoor druk ontstaat. More than just about playing piano!

I started learning piano with Mijin in April 2021. I was pretty insecure back then, because I didn't have any experience playing an instrument. I didn't even know how to read notes! The first conversation on the phone with Mijin already reassured me. She was very understanding and patient. And that's how she has been for the last year and a half. She emphasises to me that playing the piano is about fun, and making a mistake is more than okay. The lessons I have with Mijin are more than just about playing piano. She always makes time to talk about the things that are important in our lives and to us both. So, besides the life lessons I learned from her, I can actually play piano pretty well haha. Leonie van Veen is wat mij betreft al jarenlang een zanglerares, die mij over vele aspecten van het zingen (muzikaliteit, uitspraak, stemgebruik, ademhaling, in goede conditie houden van stembanden, hoe te handelen bij verkoudheden, hoest etc., houding bij het zingen) heel goede en adequate aanwijzingen/ adviezen geeft. Zangles bij Leonie is elke keer weer een feestje! Ik volg de lessen online en dat is superhandig, omdat ik niet in de buurt woon en geen reistijd kwijt ben. Ik ben psycholoog en heb een drukke praktijk, waardoor het zingen een welkome afwisseling is en een momentje van ontspanning en met mijn lijf bezig zijn. Acht jaar lang heb ik zangles gehad bij Leonie, met heel veel plezier. Bij een bezoek aan de Muziekacademie Den Haag met een collega pianist hoorde ik Ronald in de verte les geven. Onmiddellijk wist ik: bij deze docent moet ik zijn. Als koordirigent had ik behoefte aan verdere technieken voor stemvorming. Wat mij - toen al - bij Ronald , opviel was dat hij mensen echt liet zingen en hen ook degelijk begeleidde. Al deze vroege bevindingen en meer heeft Ronald waar gemaakt gedurende de jaren dat ik zangles van hem heb. De lessen zijn stevig. Ik merk echter direct het effect van de oefeningen.Tijdens het repertoire-zingen hoor ik zo de kwaliteit van mijn eigen zang toenemen. Ronalds begeleiding op de piano is fenomenaal, zelfs wanneer ik repertoire meebreng dat hem onbekend is. Van harte aanbevolen.

Zingen is geweldig, helemaal met de zanglessen van Ronald. Hij gebruikt daarbij speciale methodes voor het trainen van ademhaling en stembanden. Deze maken je stem vol, open en vrij. I started with Michalis almost 3 months ago. I had very little musical experience except some beginner level guitar, and I've always had love for synth-driven music and a desire to be able to play around with synthesizers. I never realized how much fun the learning process could be until I started with Michalis, learning how to access the insanely powerful Ableton to create and record music. I feel lucky that someone with his level of knowledge and experience, and as down-to-earth as him is available to give lessons on a weekly basis. With a 90-day trial on Ableton, a small midi keyboard, and audio interface everything becomes possible to have a lot of fun, and play and record my own music. The investment is small for what I get in return. With a full-time work schedule and competitive sport, I can't make much time to practice but have felt a lot of progress going each week. I finished my first block of lessons within the Ableton trial period and I'm already recording my own songs and now I know that I will continue with the lessons and keep building on what I've learned to produce an EP within the next few months. Michalis makes all the difference. It feels like I'm hanging out in a studio with my buddy, learning and experimenting.  That's what learning music should feel like. I can't recommend doing this enough as long as there is a desire or passion to do it.

My Shyness Faded!

I am an adult student so it was quite of a project to start learning at such life stage. I can definitely say Mara had the most profound impact on my musical trajectory. She is also the reason I actually started taking my music project seriously despite my lack of confidence. My shyness faded as my inspiration grew from her broad passion, deep knowledge and patience. I was looking for someone who could go deep into how to play an instrument properly without making it drudgery, and that is exactly what I found.

She made sure to ask what I was looking for, and where I wanted to take playing the violin. Each lesson that followed has been tailored to add another piece to that foundation. She goes through many aspects of the spectrum, not only bowing but also posture, tone, expression and historical context of the pieces. I feel confident that her excellent level of instruction places me in the development of legitimate frame of advanced playing. She really keeps me interested in playing and that is the master skill! Therefore, I can only enthusiastically recommend Mara to any levels of viola and violin players.

Fun Violin Lessons!

Klarinetles op maat!

Anderhalf jaar geleden ben ik begonnen met klarinetles bij Letizia. Ik had als tiener anderhalf jaar klarinetles gehad. Door verhuizing naar het buitenland ben ik gestopt met les maar heb daar wel een klarinet gekregen van mijn ouders. Het bleef kriebelen om mijn klarinet weer op te pakken en uiteindelijk 25 jaar later weer gestart. Mijn oude klarinet bleek in prima staat. Hij had alleen een nieuw mondstuk nodig. En wat ben ik blij dat hij onder het stof vandaan is gehaald. Binnen een paar intensieve lessen die elkaar snel opvolgden was ik weer op mijn oude niveau en inmiddels al ruimschoots dat niveau overschreden. Door verschillende soorten oefeningen (etudes, toonladders) en stukken te spelen (zowel solo als duetten), biedt Letizia mij een perfecte balans tussen techniek en plezier. Letizia is een zeer begaafd klarinetist. In haar les uit zich dat in zowel aandacht voor techniek alsook voor muzikaliteit. Ze stimuleert je om jezelf steeds te verbeteren en zorgt iedere les weer voor een nieuwe uitdaging. Door haar wijze van lesgeven en het aanbod aan oefeningen en muziekstukken maak ik enorme sprongen in mijn spel. En wat is er leuker dan steeds mooiere stukken te kunnen spelen. Ik heb absoluut geen spijt van mijn stap anderhalf jaar geleden. Ik raad Letizia aan iedereen aan die zin heeft om de klarinet weer op te pakken of ermee te starten. Ze staat open voor eigen inbreng en zorgt ervoor dat je een les op maat krijgt. Ook online zijn de lessen erg prettig, maar ik kan niet wachten om weer samen duetten te kunnen spelen als de coronacrisis voorbij is. Live samen spelen blijft toch het leukst!

Letizia, prima keuze!

Na 40 jaar heb ik mijn klarinet weer opgepakt en begreep meteen dat ik zonder les zelfs mijn niveau van vroeger nooit meer zou halen. Na wat googelen ben ik bij Letizia Maula terecht gekomen en wat een prima keuze is dat geweest! Zij houdt goed rekening met het feit dat ik veel ouder ben en mijn vingers zeker in het begin niet meer konden doen dan ik zou willen, maar ik boek zeker vooruitgang en heb plezier in studeren. Niet in de laatste plaats door haar optimisme en positieve manier van lesgeven. Daarnaast is zij een super enthousiaste stralende persoonlijkheid waar mee je op niveau kunt bespreken waar je heen wilt en die je op tijd tempert voor het te hoge eisen aan jezelf stellen, zodat je er plezier in blijft houden. Dat zij zelf ook nog eens prachtig klarinet speelt is alleen maar meegenomen. Het is heerlijk om met haar aan het eind van de les, na hard werken aan etudes en techniek, wat duetjes te spelen. Ik kan Letizia meer dan van harte aanbevelen, zij kan en gaat het beste uit haar leerlingen halen, dat is zeker!

Met sprongen vooruit!

Een half jaar geleden ben ik na lange tijd enkel in een orkest te hebben gespeeld klarinetles genomen bij Letizia. Had veel eerder moeten doen. Door haar enthousiasme en bewonderenswaardige muzikale inzicht heb ik gevoel dat mijn spel met sprongen vooruit gaat. Geweldig zoals zij mij ook dat inzicht geeft in de muziek waardoor het geheel zoveel meer wordt dan het simpel in de juiste volgorde noten oplepelen. Bovendien is Letizia een zeer aangenaam mens waarbij je je elke keer weer welkom voelt. Ik ga elke keer weer met enorm plezier naar Delfshaven!

What can I say : I started 55 years too late to learn how to play the bass guitar, so much fun. At the age of 65 my children fulfilled a long time wish of me : learning how to play bass guitar. They found Luciano Poli at Vivaldi Music Lessons to help me. Our first appointment was very pleasant and Luciano took his time to do a good inventory of my skills and knowledge of music. ( which was zero ) We started from scratch with a lot of patience, explanation and showing how to do the basic handling of the guitar. Luciano is a good teacher and one who understands his pupil. I can certainly advise him if you are a beginner with zero experience and in need for a teacher who really helps you in keeping fun playing with the bass guitar.

I started bass lessons during the covid lockdown as a complete beginner. And a few lessons later I could already jam along with some tunes of my favorite bands. Gitaarles - Soul en Feeling

Pierre is een toffe gast en geeft erg prettige lessen. Na een aantal andere instrumenten bespeeld te hebben wou ik graag de gitaar uitproberen. Voor Pierre maakt je niveau niet uit; hij kijkt samen met je mee wat je al kan en pakt het vanaf daar op. Pierre is ontzettend flexibel als het gaat om het lessenrooster en de sporadische uitloop van een les wordt niet naar om gekeken. Zijn lessen gaan vooral over de soul en feeling van het gitaarspel; het mooi spelen, een akkoord leren kan je immers gewoon van YouTube. Natuurlijk behandelt hij ook techniek en al het andere wat je wilt weten. Verwacht niet dat Pierre met een vaste lesmethode uit een 'Gitaar voor dummies' boekje aankomt. Tot nu toe nog geen enkele keer met tegenzin naar de lessen gegaan. Sterker nog: ik vertrok altijd weer met een glimlach.

Panos and I have been taking classical guitar lessons for the last few months. From the first lesson, I realized that besides being a qualified musician, he is also a very good teacher. As a teacher myself, I can identify some of the approaches he uses in the learning process and certain teaching methodology practices that he applies considering my musical knowledge and my needs. Specifically, Panos and I are learning rebetiko pieces on classical guitar. Each song we work on, he has taken care beforehand to adapt it to the way I play, as he writes the sheet music himself. At the same time, a new knowledge or phenomenon emerges through each song, as he explains the theory and practice behind each piece we work on. Also, one of the most important elements that makes Panos a good teacher is his personality. Traversolessen in Nijmegen!

Ik was blij verrast om te ontdekken dat er in Nijmegen een fluitdocente te vinden was, die les kon geven op de traverso fluit. Ben nu enkele maanden onder haar hoede en dat heeft goede resultaten opgeleverd. De embouchure is sterk verbeterd, er is aandacht voor de fysieke houding bij het spelen, het vrijelijk leren ademen, ik heb meer 'voeling' gekregen met de mogelijkheden van het instrument, er is uitleg over de techniek van het bespelen van een barokfluit en de stijl waarin bepaalde muziek moet worden uitgevoerd. Daarbij is er voldoende ruimte voor het nemen van eigen initiatieven. Er valt voor mij nog veel te leren en heb alle vertrouwen in de werkwijze van mijn docente!

Anastasia geeft les in een prettige sfeer en houdt daarbij rekening met de persoonlijkheid van de leerling. Zij is vriendelijk en kan goed duidelijk maken wat zij graag wil horen. Samen ga je op zoek naar de kwaliteit van de toon en het boeiende in de muziek. Het is meer een holistische manier van lesgeven; een zoektocht naar jouw expressie van de muziek, waarbij technische aspecten en stijlelementen van de muzikale epoche eveneens in beeld gebracht worden. Anastasia helpt je eventuele blokkades voor een mooie toonvorming via het lichaam en denkbeelden te benaderen. Cours de flûte en français!

Les leçons sont toujours intéressantes, le professeur est très pédagogue et reste calme. Il y a toujours du positif, meme si ce n'est pas évident au départ. Cela encourage à faire des efforts. J'apprends beaucoup de choses sur moi-meme également, ces leçons sont pour moi vraiment bénéfiques et agréables. Uitgedaagd om te groeien!

De sfeer bij de lessen van Javier Krohn is prettig en ongedwongen. Dit biedt een uitstekende basis om te kunnen groeien in de techniek en bij alle vragen blijkt hoe gedegen zijn theoretische en historische kennis is. Dit weet hij op een duidelijke en motiverende manier over te brengen. Tijdens de lessen wordt veel aandacht besteed aan houding, techniek en vooral ook klank en interpretatie. Als student word je uitgedaagd om te groeien door middel van de keuze voor mooie en interessante muziekstukken van de grote componisten en dit bevalt uiterst goed. Ik kan de lessen van Javier zeer aanraden.

Corona Proof Fluitlessen!

Na een pauze van 20 jaar wilde ik opnieuw dwarsfluit gaan spelen en dankzij Konstantinos had ik weer snel de smaak te pakken. Niet alleen is hij een fantastische fluitist, hij heeft ook uitstekende didactische vaardigheden. Hij slaagt erin om de juiste balans te vinden tussen het aanmoedigen om een hoger niveau te bereiken en het creeren van een relaxte sfeer waarin het plezier in spelen vooropstaat. Ook is het een geruststelling dat hij zeer zorgvuldig omgaat met de coronarestricties. Tijdens de lockdown hadden we lessen via skype, en hij heeft nu de ruimte waar hij lesgeeft zo aangepast dat we altijd ruim 1,5 meter afstand kunnen houden. Bovendien lucht hij deze kamer voor en na de les. Het voelt heel veilig om daar te spelen.

Top Level Flute Teacher!

It has been slightly more than 1 year since I started studying with Konstantinos and the progress I have made so far is amazing as a person without any significant musical background! His knowledge is inarguably top level, he has the ability to teach you the proper way of playing flute and the best thing is that you can easily see his ambition and excitement during the classes when he teaches (as if he was the one to learn to play beautiful melodies instead of you). The location of his studio is also very convenient so you can easily reach there and go back to your place. Strongly recommended in all aspects!

A joy to play!

After a pause of 20 years, I started playing the flute again. Konstantinos helped me to quickly get back on track. He is not only a wonderful flutist, but also has strong didactical skills. He manages to find the right balance between pushing you to achieve a higher level and creating a relaxed atmosphere in which is a joy to play. It is also reassuring that he is very thoughtful about the corona measures. During the lockdown, we had lessons via skype, and he has now adapted the space where he teaches so that we can largely keep the 1.5m distance at all times. Besides that, he airs this area right before and after the lesson, so it feels really safe to be there.

I really enjoy learning from Konstantinos

Being a beginning flute student as an adult can be challenging for a number of reasons. From the complexity of finding time to practice to the insecurity that the vulnerable position of a beginner puts you in. But learning from Konstantinos made me overcome all these fears. His positive and encouraging attitude dispelled my fear of making mistakes. Its flexibility allowed me to fit this activity into my routine. And, of course, he has a welcoming and caring attitude and an easy-to-understand methodology. I really enjoy learning from him. -

Interactive Marimba Lessons

The kids were interested to learn to play music instrument and we have tried classic piano lessons. Lessons were boring and kids didn't want to attend any longer. We decided to try drum lessons with Konstantin it was above expectations. The lesson was interactive, presented with kids mind and it were not just drums. The kids also get to learn marimba which has note structure the same as on the piano. After few months kids also learned some body tapping. Drum lessons experience opened doors to complete new music world.

Lavinia has been teaching me violin over the last years and, as an adult beginner with a busy schedule, I would consider myself a tricky case as a student. Toffe gast!

Pierre is een toffe gast en geeft erg prettige lessen. Na een aantal andere instrumenten bespeeld te hebben wou ik graag de gitaar uitproberen. Voor Pierre maakt je niveau niet uit; hij kijkt samen met je mee wat je al kan en pakt het vanaf daar op. Pierre is ontzettend flexibel als het gaat om het lessenrooster en de sporadische uitloop van een les wordt niet naar om gekeken. Zijn lessen gaan vooral over de soul en feeling van het gitaarspel; het mooi spelen, een akkoord leren kan je immers gewoon van YouTube. Natuurlijk behandelt hij ook techniek en al het andere wat je wilt weten. Verwacht niet dat Pierre met een vaste lesmethode uit een 'Gitaar voor dummies' boekje aankomt. Tot nu toe nog geen enkele keer met tegenzin naar de lessen gegaan. Sterker nog: ik vertrok altijd weer met een glimlach.

Love for Baroque Flute!

Kristen is an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher! Already having played the silver flute for a long time, I decided to pick up the baroque flute two years ago. Kristen helped me buy a flute and through her lessons I quickly became confident on this new instrument. Her clear love for baroque music and period instruments has opened up a new world for me, exploring the many different styles of baroque (from early French to late German/Austrian). During her lessons we often play together, from which I learn a lot through imitation, but we also talk about the background of different pieces, ornamentations, etc, which helps me understand the music better.

Jazz is cool!

Al sinds mijn 10e heb ik af en aan heb ik pianoles gehad. Maar met Rein is het zo leuk dat ik al 3 jaar op rij zin heb in de les op maandag. De lessen zijn precies afgestemd op mijn behoeftes. Soms is dat jammen, soms is dat theorie over akkoordenschema's en soms is het eindeloos oefenen om een lekker jazzloopje in de vingers te krijgen. Les op maat met een gezonde dosis humor!

I have come to know Letizia as a dedicated recorder teacher who motivates to practice and play your favourite instrument. Because her lessons are interesting and fun, time flies and lessons seem to take only ten minutes, while in fact a long period of practice has gone by. What I appreciate is that I always received feedback from which I could tell she listens to my specific needs. Based on that we practiced to improve my technically weaker parts. What made the lessons enjoyable is that we didn't only play to improve the technical parts but also played fun pieces. I can recommend Letizia as a recorder teacher.
