During my studies I specialized in jazz improvisation, inspired by violin legends Stéphane Grappelli and Jean-Luc Ponty. I'll help you understand harmony, scales, phrasing, and rhythm so you can confidently create your own musical ideas.

Discover Tango Violin

After many years living and performing in Buenos Aires, I developed a deep understanding of Argentine tango. Together we'll explore the unique rhythms, articulation, phrasing, and expressive techniques that give tango its unmistakable character. Whether you're new to tango or already familiar with the style, you'll learn how to bring authenticity and emotion to your playing.

Music Theory

Understanding music theory makes learning faster and more enjoyable. Lessons can include reading music, rhythm, harmony, chord progressions, keys, musical form, and ear training—all taught in a practical way that directly supports your playing.

Lessons in Rotterdam or Online

Lessons take place in my private studio near the historic district of Delfshaven in Rotterdam. If travelling is difficult, online violin lessons are also available. Depending on your location, home lessons may be possible by arrangement.

About Me

Born in the United States, I first studied jazz before moving to Buenos Aires, where I spent many years studying tango and performing with leading tango and classical ensembles. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Violin from Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam and later earned a Master's degree in Composition.

As a performer, I've appeared with the Metropole Orchestra and collaborated with internationally acclaimed musicians. My recent recording with Brazilian guitarist Yamandu Costa and Orquestra Assintomática (Lisbon) showcases my continuing passion for musical collaboration across styles.
