Ilia Lumbroso has been teaching me how to play jazz on a tenor saxophone. I am 26 years old, and with basically no music playing experience. After the lessons I have been having with Ilia, I am not only able to read musical notes, but am also playing some of the more challenging musical pieces. Ilia's depth of knowledge in the theory of music, and his breadth of awareness of the different flavours of music is unparalleled. I feel absolutely pleased that Ilia is my teacher and I feel the progress after every lesson. What I really appreciate about Ilia is the he doesn't stop after the lesson is over, he keeps sending through material to study, listen to and play, which keeps the motivation level up especially for those that have work or are preoccupied during the week.
