Hello! I'm Marco Ullstein, passionate professional percussion, vibraphone and marimba teacher in Amsterdam. Trial Lesson

I always like to schedule a trial lesson first, so we can get to know each other, play a bit, try out a trumpet if you've never played before. We discuss your goals, musical styles and wishes regarding lesson times etc.

Teaching Location

If you have a marimba or vibraphone at your home, I can come to you for the lessons. Other option is that we arrange the lessons in a studio that I can provide.

About Me

As a versatile musician, I frequently perform in a variety of settings, from percussion ensembles and orchestras to jazz bands, trios, and as a bandleader. My performance experience spans classical, jazz, and everything in between, enriching my teaching with a broad and adaptable perspective.

I hold a bachelor's degree in Classical Percussion from the Conservatory of Munich and a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Vibraphone from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. Currently, I'm pursuing my master's degree in jazz Vibraphone at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. My academic background and practical experience equip me to teach students of all levels and musical interests.
I frequently perform live with various groups, including my own ensemble, the Marco Ullstein Quintet, where I play my original compositions.
